Sarah Palin talks to the "Amurican People" on a good 'ole boy 3rd grader level?
I mean... I think the fact that in a national debate she uses phrases such as "gonna", "you betcha", "gosh darn", never says the "g" at the end of "ing", etc... is enough to disqualify her from being president.
OK, so I'm clearly exaggerating... but am I the only one who is driven insane by this?

All the rusted signs, we ignore throughout our lives, choosing the shiny ones instead...

Right, I saw that earlier (and was frankly surprised).
But Biden comes across almost like a professor, very knowledgeable and well-spoken.
I think Palin INTENTIONALLY tries to come across talking like an "everyday" person.
And he who forgets, will be destined to remember...
well, whatever look she was going for, she missed.
Not sure what you mean?
I was watching the debate with about 10 of my friends (most republicans)... and everyone either conceded that Biden won, or that they at least tied.
And yet, they all were impressed with the fact that Palin came across more like an average American... "just like me and you."
And I'm just thinking... I don't want the average American as our VP... I want the intelligent one... but I'm quickly finding out that I may be in the minority.
And he who forgets, will be destined to remember...
I'm in the minority as well then. This is the most bullshit lay it on thick "average american" act I have ever seen. I am not an idiot...and I cannot be fooled. I hope intelligence will win out when it comes to the american public.
She is nothing but SCHTICK! I repeat...SCHTICK!
Maverick my ass!
Anyone who thinks that she is the ''average american'', i'm sorry, i just don't see it.
She IS an average American. I mean, come on... who here doesn't have a 16 year old daughter that drinks bangs like a teenager?

Hell... I was drinking and smoking pot and banging my girlfrined when I was 16... and my mom was totally oblivious to that fact.
Hail, Hail!!!
It's part of the continued dumbing down of America.
Yep, that's what it seems like to me.
She actually said that? That physically pains me. I knew she was a moron already but that assessment was based on her beliefs, not her grasp of grammar, or lack thereof.
I've never been. She has a little Ned Flanders form the Simpson's in her...perhaps it's the hockey mom Alaska thing...
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

and the "joesixpacks" & "mavericks" & "gotcha" & "youbetcha"....on and on and on.
i respect that fact that she was elected as governor. that's quite an accomplishment. but the fact that this is their answer to appeal to everyday americans makes me sick.
i think my lawnmower would make a better runningmate for McCain. i truly do. and that makes me wonder a very scary "what if...".
not that i needed any other factors to help me decide.
the one thing that i had a problem with in regards to Biden's performance is that he didn't go after her. he failed to point out that she did NOT answer the majority of the questions. her responses were scripted & off-topic.
yeah, she held her own. if holding your own means that you spout bs and fail to address the issues at hand during the debate.
there's my 2 cents.
