McCain ought to be ashamed for this ad:

Narrator: Who is Barack Obama? He says our troops in Afghanistan are...

Obama: ...just air-raiding villages and killing civilians.

Narrator: How dishonorable.

Maybe McCain/Palin could have played the whole clip, in context: We’ve got to get the job done there and that requires us to have enough troops so that we’re not just air-raiding villages and killing civilians, which is causing enormous problems there.

The whole "cutting off funds to our troops" thing is a total distortion, as well. "Dishonorable"? I'll show you "dishonorable." :mad:

    really tho ... don't blame mccain or the GOP for this ... the issue here lies with the general populace ... attack ads, negative campaigns, lies all work because the voting public isn't smart enough to figure it all out ...

    I do agree they are targeting the lowest common denominator. That doesn't absolve them from blame though :mad:.
