I now get "it".. I now understand what it is like to view a leader with pride and admiration, rather than cynism and contempt.

    I feel the same way too. I'm proud of many things...I often feel ashamed of 'my generation' but today I feel proud to be part of it. I never thought my state would allow medicinal marijuana and support for stem cell research, and to finally feel a true chance for change and improvement in my 'adult' life.

    I agree!!! And not only pride in the fact that we elected Obama but that we turned out in record #s to vote, let's hope we can keep this up for every election! Voting is a right that people in history have fought for! We should take advantage of what they have done for us!!!!

    think of it this way. it's not that were proud of the elected, it's that were proud of each other, if for nothing else than collectively wounding the republican beast.
