i hav enow asked questions about Obama website and ideas, Hillary website and ideas an dnow here is McCains.
1) Lower Barriers to Trade: John McCain believes that globalization is an opportunity for American workers today and in the future. Ninety-five percent of the world's customers lie outside our borders and we need to be at the table when the rules for access to those markets are written. To do so, the U.S. should engage in multilateral, regional and bilateral efforts to reduce barriers to trade, level the global playing field and build effective enforcement of global trading rules.
I will assume that McCain believes that if we lower taxes companies will stay in america, but if they don't are you letting many people to lose their jobs to places that really have no humans rights or worker rights.
2) Create the security necessary for political progress and stability
John McCain believes that only by controlling the violence in Iraq can we pave the way for a political settlement. But once the Iraqi government wields greater authority, it will be incumbent upon Iraqi leaders to take significant steps on their own. These include a commitment to go after the militias, a reconciliation process for insurgents and Baathists, more equitable distribution of government resources, provincial elections that will bring Sunnis into the government, and a large increase in employment-generating economic projects.
at what stage would you say that the Iraqi government can take onwership of the country.
3) The Pentagon has adopted a policy of rotating our generals in and out of Iraq almost as frequently as the rotating of troops. John McCain believes this to be a deeply flawed practice. If these are, in fact, the best leaders for the task, they should remain on the job as long as possible. These generals and other senior officers with experience possess critical situational awareness and expertise necessary to prevail.
but at what point would you say that teh generals need taht break and are you afraid that by the time they need a break it is too late an dyou hav elost good men and women?
4) Recognize the importance of assimilation of our immigrant population, which includes learning English, American history and civics, and respecting the values of a democratic society.
what do you mean by respecting teh values of a democratic society>
5) The most important weapons in the U.S. arsenal are the men and women of American armed forces. John McCain believes we must enlarge the size of our armed forces to meet new challenges to our security. For too long, we have asked too much of too few - with the result that many service personnel are on their second, third and even fourth tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq. There can be no higher defense priority than the proper compensation, training, and equipping of our troops.
do you believe that with the war going on it would be hard to get more people to join the army. also, concerning going on 3rd and 4th tours of duty in Iraq, don't you think that this is a goo dreason to not b ethere any more.

Even Obama has said we'll stay in Iraq if.... and he's also said we need to expand and modernize our military, he's played ball with Nafta, as well.
There should be a thread pointing out the differences between all the candidates. Highlight what makes them stand out and deserve your vote. I would be very curious to see the replies.

to tell you the truth McCain website like Hillary and Obama's is lacking in the questions of "How these thing swill get done"
so if we were to have a thread that lists all teh people idea you would see that 1) no real difference between Hillary and Obama 2) supposed difference between Obama and Mccain 3) supposed difference between McCain and Hillary

So true. I think they are all more alike than different. There are differences but so many similarities. I can't understand how we, as a nation, are still voting in this same old crap!

i am developing a full length disertation to help sway my good friends from the pit... it is loosely dubbed "the surge"
i'm beginning to think you, and 99.9999% of obama supporters, have something against addressing points or answering questions
haaaaa i keed, i keed....
but seriously, it's aggravating that these are the 3 types of replies you get from an obama supporters when confronted w/ a question about their man:
1- you get no reply
2- instead of addressing ANYTHING brought up they instead post some link to something about Kucinich or Nader
3- get all pissy and angry then snap 'i don't have to explain myself to anyone!!!' (and usually that sort of angry reaction is indicative of some guilt, perhaps that they know they are compromising their 'beliefs' and can't answer?)
why all the dodges? and then annoying shit like posting 'crickets' if i happen to be out on a friday night...and i know i said crickets after that but at least i will address the questions, all you guys do is ask and ask and ask more questions but then never reply to any posed to you...why not?
maybe after you finish your dissertation you can finish all those replies you said you needed to 'do more research on' before replying, eh?
i'm serious, there's hardly any real replies for obama, you just get vague shit like 'i like his stances' what stances? 'gay rights and anti-war' but he's against gay marriage, thinks being gay is a choice and isn't anti-war?? I DON'T OWE YOU ANY EXPLANATION!!!!! of course not, but if you can't back up your own beliefs maybe you shouldn;t be pushing it as hard?
now, there's no need for you to cry over this like last time. you guys all loved it when it was the cons on the other end and i don't know why anyone would think i would play favorites or compromise my beliefs to support a corporate cocksucker but i'm not. if you wanna stir the shit i i'm gonna react.
