    What he's doing is known as "white-knuckling" it. One has to keep a tight grip on their will, in some cases at the expense of others. The underlying psychological issues of addiction have not been dealt with, and balance is not in place yet. And that's okay..one step at a time. The problem is, when we call people losers (or are degrading at all) we perpetuated imbalance and have consequences...such as being called out on a message board.

    It's all about mental strength. And if you see yourself as being a lesser person as a smoker, then it will go a long way to help you quit. If you are seen as a little bit of an asshole in the process, so be it. You'll be a healthier asshole, a better smelling asshole, and a wealthier asshole.

    I forgot to include much happier asshole.
