I'm gonna make this quick, because I'm tired, buzzed, and I'm not in the best of moods at this moment. Hopefully the Spurs might pull a win out in game 2 because I'm pretty heartbroken right now. Found this as I was searching for some Pearl Jam news. Here's the link:

New album in 2008? And I thought the band was slowing down some. Maybe a small tour (with a focus on the southern states ) with ensue after the initial release. One can only hope Bruce Springsteen and PJ decide to co-headline a tour while playing on alternating nights. Just my two cents.

He said maybe by the end of the year. He also said there are about "four or five" songs "ready to go", meaning written. They say "complete", which sounds a bit more finished, as if they may already be recorded.
I'm not trying to nit-pick (though I know it certainly sounds that way), I just hate the media twisting things to sound more interesting than they are.
