I would appoint Dennis Haysbert as my official spokesperson, and let him make EVERY important decision for me...
I really wish he would run for president!

Considering that GWB is considered teh worst or one of the worst preseident of all time, the Rep. should not even close to winning the next election but polls show that it is very close.

the reason i believe is becuase the US is very spilt. having a president of one party and a vice preseident from the opposite party might bring the country back.

Well the gap can also be closed by just having a good president. A good president would be able to reach across the ailse and work with the other party for the betterment of the country. Unfortunetly we haven't had a good president in a long long long time.

Wouldn't that spoil the fun of having the public believe that the two parties are really different from each other. They wouldn't want the public waking up after a couple of hundred years now.

I may, in a multi-party system pick someone from ANother party. But I would not pick someone from THE other party in a two party system.

Only if he was the best candidate to replace me if I should die. Based on the current crop of Republicans running, I'd say no. But I'd have Republicans in my Cabinet.

i'd do it to think it could help bring the country together just a bit...but in the end, i doubt it would matter......which is just sad.

absolutely not. you play the game to get your party in power and your agenda pushed through. you couldn't do that with a member of the opposite party as your successor. besides, you are only one gunshot away from having your presidency yanked away from you and your party. there are enough nutjobs out there that might think its a good idea to use vigilante tactics to sway the power structure.
