    It's you.

McCain is trying not to talk about it because he's been embraced by a couple of nutcases he used to embrace until he realized they were hurting his cause.

The Media keeps trying to force Wright on us. It continues to be a non issue.

I have no idea what looney backs Hillary..

does the media not mention Hagee also. i believe that they do. i have just noticed that Obama and Clinton really talk lot abotu their religion and their personal faith. i don't hear that much about McCain talking alot abotu his religion. i am not saying that what Hillary and Obama are doing is wrong just saying that i notice that. for example, Obama and Hillary had that Compassion debate and Mccain did not go but was still invited.

I'm an agnostic, and I agree that we don't need to insult other people's faiths. Intolerance is a problem when it comes to beliefs--and all of it is a belief--belief in god and belief in no god.

Where is the uproar when Barack claims that he prays in church, but also says you must do more than just pray, you must leave the church and act on those prayers. If Bush or McCain said that there would be thousands of angry liberals crying separation of church and state. Not for Obama.

It's no coincidece that every single one has been some version of christian.

it's only become a big deal when it was found as a way to sway voters without having to address any real issues.

Except, you know, among white people ... which last I checked was a pretty good chunk of the electorate. Check out Obama's numbers among whites after the Wright stuff broke -- and not just among blacks and eggheads, to channel Paul Begalia -- and it's pretty startling.

Imagine that. A black presidential candidate not doing so well in Appalachia. Whoda thunked it?

He's not really doing well among white people anywhere ... which could change, I suppose.

Yeah. It must be all those Black folks in Montana that are supporting him. Or all those Blacks in Iowa that got his campaign off and running. It Must have been the HUGE Black population in Oregon that gave him an 18 point win in Oregon just last week. Mea culpa.

Maybe they need to prove something. You know actions speak louder than words. Or if you don't know... teach.

seriously. oregon is one of the whitest states in the union, something like not even 2% of population is black. and that margin of victory was huge! this isn't just as simple as black and white. regional differences come into play as well. and it's more than that too.

I read (or maybe some random pundit said something) that the Democrats are intentionally talking more about religion this election cycle. Remember that "compassion forum" on CNN? It was all about religious issues.

Anyway, I heard speculation that Dems are trying to be more public in an attempt to counter the Republicans who try to sell themselves as the party of "religion". They are trying to get more moderate religious voters to look again at Democrats instead of blindly assuming Republicans are the only party for religious issues.

Pity religion even comes into play if you ask me.
