I don't think he's saying 100 years of war. He related his point to us being in Japan for 60 years. We are no longer at war with them are we? Technically we are not at war with Iraq. We are at war with insurgents... but yeah, these insurgents will fight us until the end of time so make that 4 more years. It all goes kaput in 2012 anyways.
I think one of McCain's kids is either in Iraq or on his way. So at least he's got a personal stake in it. Most politicians are quick to send other people's kids into harms way, but wouldn't think of sending their own
I think McCain is pissed for being held hostage and wants revenge on something that haunts him to this day in whatever manifestation he can have it.
What he said was insane and irresponsible. What sane person even says or condones that as an acceptable thing to say?
RED FLAGS pasted all over that guy top to bottom.
It's going to all come down to Ron Paul and Obama imo...
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

You really think Ron Paul is going to come out on top from the primaries? As much as I hope for that I just don't see it happening. I'd be very suprised if it wasn't Romney or radical Rudy.

I don't know if the majority of Americans have figured out their system of control yet. Judging by a lot of opinions I'm seeing online I'm pretty sure they haven't.
If the majority had, it would be a no contest situation and candidates like Kucinich and Gravel would not have already been marginalized in favor of Obama and Hillary. That said, there's really only one clear choice left, but people are still struggling to understand it.
There is still a fair amount of time to go, but the awakening is far from complete. Many have figured it out already, but a lot of people still don't realize the extent of what's going on around them (and above them). They're still looking at the candidates themselves and (smaller) daily mainstream media issues as indicators of what to do and how to think.
The optimism is not overwhelming me at this point in time. hehe.

Relatively speaking, their calculations were AMAZINGLY ACURATE,
but modern science has put that year at something more like 2006-2008,
so we are probably fucked NOW.
:(
If I opened it now would you not understand?

So, McCain is in favor of a timetable.
Hail, Hail!!!
