Political Enthusiastics Get Creative Outside of Bumperstickers

(Oct. 26) - With just 9 days left before Election Day, Barack Obama and John McCain's campaigns are going full speed and their supporters are out in force. These die-hards are not just stumping with campaign buttons and bumper stickers anymore -- they are using some unusual methods to tout their candidates.

Click through the photos to see some of the most creative and downright wacky ways that Americans (and others around the world too) are showing who they want in the White House.

Today in MD I saw a wall size mural of Obama with the saying *the Man For Change* and in DC a sticker that said *Hockey Moms for McCain and Palin*

What creative signs or whatever have you seen for both sides???

    We have a lot of "Obamanos" signs out here.

    We also have a lot of great folk art earrings.

    My neighborhood association won't let us put out yard signs or even put signs in our windows, so I'm gonna carve "Obama" on the pumkin I put outside instead of a face.

    That's all I can think of right now. :)

    Original signs are sometimes the best ones.

    Yeah, I heard about a guy here who kept getting his Obama sign stolen, so now he put a note on it that says he'll donate $50 to the Obama campaign every time his sign is stolen.

    i haven't seen anything unusual, although i most deinitely am seeing more and more obama buttons and shirts all over manhattan. :) i've yet to see anyone anywhere with mccain. :D

    just a sidenote - looking thru a few things yesterday and looking for where i got my 'coexist' bumpersticker - that our dear hippiemom turned me onto - b/c a friend wants to get one, and i came across another bumpersticker i never used, yet seems sooo apropos today:

    Go Vote! Vote like the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

    hmmmmmmmmmmmm, eh? ;)

    Vamanos = let's go.

    Obamanos = let's go Obama!

    there's a guy in central new york that's said he keeps getting signs put up on his property that he didn't give permission for. it wasn't just one candidate, either. i guess the problem is his property stretches to the corner of an intersection, and people that put these signs up don't realize that it's private property (his home isn't right on the corner). he's been taking them down, only to find new ones up the following day. so his new way to deal with the signs is to burn half of each sign, and leave them up, hoping people will get a clue.

    personally, i've never been a fan of yard signs, buttons, or bumperstickers. to me, it's basically begging someone that doesn't agree with you to fuck with your shit.

    I believe in VA you can't vote with any political t-shirt, buttons or signs from what I heard last night. I do not like yards signs or political party bumperstickers however i do like bumperstickers that make people think...

    It's the same in NM. I had to take off my Obama earrings before entering the polling place. I even read about a guy who was nearly kicked out for just talking about politics with his friend while waiting in line. Somehow it was thought of as campaigning, although that seems a bit extreme to me.

    I don't see the problem with political signs, bumper stickers, etc. To me they're just an expression of support for something you like, similar to wearing sports jerseys or having a stickman decal.

    I should add that if you wear buttons or t-shirts you'll be asked to remove them or cover them up and after you vote you are allowed to put them back on. I don't know about DC but in MD you can wear whatever you want.

    In 2004 I was given party gifts (buttons, stickers etc.) outside the school where I voted however the only sticker I'll wear is the *I Voted* sticker.
