I'm watching him for the first time in eons. Osama Bin Laden could have created a worst economic crisis on OBL's best day.

GWB lesson on Economics tonight.

    yeah, I watched...

did anyone else hear that noise during his speech...it sounded like someone trying to make fart noises in a leather chair...I thought it may have just been the feed on c-span....so I turned the channel to ABC and still heard it...

maybe I'm just crazy, but it was funny....to me at least...

as for his speech..."boo!!! the boogyman is coming, give me yur money or else" is what I got out of it...

So basically the message I got from his speech is this.......

"We have been fucking you long and hard. We have fucked you over so badly, that, we now need you to anty up (again) and help us fuck you over some more. We created this mess with our facist/corporate power and now we need you to bend over a few more times, because we're not done, yet.

When the US Government and it's controliing Corporate Masters have complete control, access and God-Given Right to the wealth/income, resources and physical bodies of the citizens of the United States; we will then be satisfied.

We can't possibly ask the greedy, disgustingly overly-compensated Corporate CEO's and other wealthy fuckers who created this mess, to be held accountable for this mess. Certainly, I, George W. Bush can't take any reponsibility for any of this. So it's up to you, the average American, to help us "bail out" the wealthy financial institutions. Please say you'll bend over for us, at least a few more times! "

I stopped paying attention to any of his speeches long ago. I can't stand his whiny voice and smug expression.
How many more days till January 20?

I must say though it seems he has gotten rid of that smirk he would shove in people's faces. As if he was down at the local bar chatting it up with a beer or two.

"I have great, great confidence in our capital markets and in our financial institutions. Our financial institutions, banks and investment banks, are strong. Our capital markets are resilient. They're efficient. They're flexible."

-- Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, March 16, 2008

"Our policy in this administration -- laws shouldn't bail out lenders, laws shouldn't help speculators."

    -- President Bush, May 19, 2008

"Our economy has continued growing, consumers are spending, business are investing, exports continue increasing and American productivity remains strong. We can have confidence in the long-term foundation of our economy...I think the system basically is sound. I truly do."
