The 5 year Anniversary will here on the 19th of March and there appears to be no end in site.

3,988 Dead, More Than 60,000 Wounded, A Projected Cost Of $2 Trillion — What Is America's Continued Role?

Do you foresee an end to this OCCUPATION/SHARADE?

Peace sometime this decade

The occupation must end. And we need to expedite that process, as americans. Bring em home.

No. At least another 4 years just considering the remaining candidates for Pres. Probably longer.

it could end tomorrow if we wanted it too. Its up to the people, not the government. WE choose when we end the occupation.

How many of US do we need for this to end though? Many, many more than what you are seeing right now. In general right now the people are more worried about the economy than the war. The next president will be voted out after 4 years because the economy is in shambles not because we are still in Iraq.

its true people are selfish. but if they can understand that human misery abroad is affecting their paycheck at home they might find the balls to stand up and say something.

fuck that. think how bad it was in the 60's and 70's, yet somehow people managed to organize on a nationwide level and put an end to something terrible. many terrible things. Never lose hope my friend, the human spirit should never be underestimated.

I'm afraid the majority of Americans really dont give a shit. I honestly believe this. It makes me angry and sad at the same time.

The majority of AMericans will unite if given a cause worth fighting for. Our culture has been corrupted over the past few decades, but that doesnt' mean we aren't capable of more, or resistance. Think of the past, how hopeless it must of seemed to them. But they rose up and won a battle in this class war, they won.

And fuck man, we can do the same, don't underestimate us. We have the power ultimately, its just a matter of using it. We can fight too.

    no.

The people have the power. If we choose to we could shut down the country tomorrow. If we don't work they have nothing to rule, there is no country to run. We run the country, the working class.

Our culture has changed to be sure, now all that is done....but we have it in us to make something more of our society, to make something more of our culture. As shitty and selfish the country has become I still see light, I bet in the 70's people felt the same, that we can never change things, that the gov't is too powerful, that we stand no chance. But they did stand a chance, more than that- they won battles in the class war, and we have seen society progress as a result. SOcial progress...and we can do the same.

There's another Protest March back home in the DC Metro area and I can't be there however I'll be ther in spirit. I've to 12-13 of these protest marches, fasted, screamed, been confronted and confronted those who hated my stance on this war and I'm not sure if it's made any difference or made any change.

It's easy to be discouraged but since we STILL have the right to protest then I think we ALL should in our own way even if like myself as faraway as I am in Palm Beach, Florida.

This war/occupation needs to come to an end soon.....here's a bit more on the protest march tommorow..PeacePlease Protest March....Iraq War When Will It END? and here PeacePlease. I can remember being in the first 15 pictures of the PeacePlease scroll and my daughter and I pictured at least 10 times 3 years ago. Now it's 100's pictured.

The War might have been over if we didn't let Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz try to do it on the cheap.
250,000 to 300,000 U.S. Troops were needed from the start. Not so much for the combat, but for the occupation. Better yet... 200,000 U.s Troops and 250,000 coalitiion Troops under U.S. Command and Control. Including 75,000 arab Nation troops to immediately take over the police services.
But, we didn't. We 'Stayed The Course' way too long and a realistic assessment... in my personal opinion... another 15 to 20 years of this same type of violence because of the many poor decisions 'The Decider' made.
    ...
And when we leave... all Hell is going to break loose. Be it tomorrow or 20 years from now. You do not erase a religious civil war that has been going on for 1400 years... in 5 years.
People will argue parallels with our withdrawal from Viet Nam and the slaughter that occured in Cambodia after we left. That did not happen because we left... that happened because WE WERE THERE in the first place. That is a true parallel.

I really can't see this occupation continuing another 5 years but one never knows with the politicians that are in power/in charge now and in the future. Our fearless Decider was here in Palm Beach yesterday, drove right pass Air Force One. One good thing he did accomplish was he used up all the Palm Beach Sheriff's office for his protection and i had a nice peaceful cruise home.

    Peace

  • Iraq? Her hair has been let down, the foreplay is ongoing and passionate, but there plenty of in and out to go yet...

    hehe
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Even though for a long time to come this will be a serious matter there's always room for humour. :)
