I don't know why people hate her so much, all she did was give her view on a show called "the view", is'nt that the point?

she may not of been the most poetic. but are the other people on the show any better?

she was hated before "the view".

    Bye, bye Rosie.

bs. most people with clinical depression can't get out of bed.

no; i don't like her. but i gave up a business worth millions AND a recording contract when i had a brain aneurysm and subsequent brain surgery that went bad. if you want to know about depression and good reasons for depression i'll talk your ear off. i pulled myself out of it and started a business that was conducive to my condition. if i have a seizure or stroke and i'm bedridden for days; i catch up when i can. on the other hand; i can't make real plans for anything. a seizure kept me from my grandmothers funeral.
so do you want to talk about real depression or "rosie depression"?

I'm sorry for what you are saying you've experienced, but your pain does not take away from someone else's. And as hippiemom said, depression can manifest itself in many different ways.

Nothing you have said qualifies you to comment on someone else's mental health. Your own experience does not make you an expert about anyone but yourself.

I am just upset that ABC didn't completely sandbag that bitch like NBC did with Imus. They should have made Rosie apologize to the Donald for even hinting he should "eat" her. And sorry she wasn't honest very opionionated with no proof of anything she said. I wanna see Barbara and Elisabeth finally get a word in edge wise; they really never could speak their "view" with Rosie running show.

if having lived through it makes someone an expert; then i guess i am. if having seen the effects and treatments first hand and the different levels of depression counts for anything; i guess i am. .

It doesn't. Going to medical school would make you an expert.

here's a news flash for you. everyone suffers from depression at some level. if i can get up in the morning and make millions my depression can't be that bad.

That's really not for you to judge. It's this very attitude that helps maintain the stigma attached to seeking treatment for mental health issues.

but for the fuss she puts up; it's like me crying about a hang nail.

But you can't comment on her experience with depression. Only she knows what she has experienced, and I am only commenting on what she has said about it.

It's not about who has experienced the most tragedy or who has had the saddest life; it is an issue of brain chemistry.

If she had made the "eat me" comment on The View, then they might have asked her to appologize. She was speaking at a private event and ABC had nothing to do with it.

Furthermore, Imus should never have been fired for what he said. He never would have been if this had happened about a week later, when the media had bigger fish to fry.

BTW, Elisabeth doesn't have anything worthwhile to say. ;)

Yeah your right Imus shouldn't have been fired, as far as Elisabeth it must be hard to hear from someone who's ideology you don't agree with. Must be tough hearing someone else's opinion. I have a great idea to not looked biased ABC should hire Ann Coulter or Tucker Carlson as guest hosts, second thought no they would run circles around those woman.

Ann Coulter is the conservative version of Rosie and Tucker Carlson is a tool. If you really want to add someone intelligent go for Joe Scarborrough (sp?)

My point, however one difference, Ann would let other's have an opinion, not cut them off and basically call them stupid or that they mean nothing.

Please Coulter is just as bad as Rosie. She is an arrogant blowhard. At least if both of them where attractive I could stand to listen to their lunatic ramblings but both are FUGLY. She-man and the Beast.

By the way, Rosie didnt "call it quits", they didnt want to renew her contract. That simple. You think a company like Disney wants a woman like Rosie representing them?

Brilliant how? Just because Coulter attended good schools doesn't make her brilliant. She proves that everytime she opens her mouth.

Well she did get away with hate speech for almost a year, and ABC made an economic choice based on ratings to keep her, I guess after this they really couldn't take anymore, my guess is ABC said you can be fired or you can resign your choice, either way your out.

what pisses me off is that they won't admitt the real reason. what she said would get anyone fired. ABC is being nice and letting her bow out without the scandle; or bad press it would bring.

the fact that this has been posted on this forum and been replied to nearly 40 times speaks volumes of the Americans current view of what is "news", what we are interested in, and what we value as important or relevant for discussion. pretty sad state of awareness IMO
