I was watching an interview on TV with Richard Branson, and he was talking about a new branch in his company called Virgin Fuel. He said that he's hoping that in 3 years all his jets will fly with zero carbon emissions thanks to breakthroughs in fuel technology. Do you think this is possible?

I found this article just to give you a little insight...

it won't be zero emissions that's for sure ... but if he can cut out a large chunk of it - that would make a huge difference ...

we'll see i guess ... but more then likely, he'll fudge the numbers to make it seem more efficient then reality ...

Yeah I don't know... he was VERY adament on claiming that it was going to be ZERO!! He also said that it is derived from brand new technology and no one has seen anything like it before.

Then he went on to make a claim that in 15 years we would be able to travel from the US to Australia in 35 minutes via travel out of the atmosphere and into space... so who knows what this guy is working on.. or smoking:D:cool:

it could be some hydrogen related concept ... which many claim have zero emissions but no one tends to consider the energy required to make hydrogen ...

anyways - i'm all for it - whatever it is ... anything is better then what we're usiing now ...
