I admit I never gave her the time of day before, but since I saw her on The Daily Show, and after these comments on her own show just yesterday, I have to say I'm going to start paying a bit more attention:

BROWN: "To those McCain aides who say she is the reason they lost this election... can I please remind you of one thing: you picked her. You are the ones who supposedly vetted her, and then told the American people she was qualified for the job. You are the ones who after meeting her a couple of times, told us she was ready to be just one heartbeat away from the Presidency. ... If Sarah Palin is the reason some voters chose Barack Obama, that is no one's fault but your own.

"John McCain, as he so graciously said himself the other night, lost this election. He lost it with your help, your advice, your guidance, and yes, your running mate recommendations," she added. "And that is crystal clear to everyone, no matter how hard you try to blame Sarah Palin or anyone else."
"Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States, Barack Obama."

"Obama's main opponent in this election on November 4th (was) not John McCain, it (was) ignorance."~Michael Moore

    Very True.

McCain's brains behind the scenes vastly underestimated the intelligence of the American people. They smuggly believed that producing some winking half-wit brunette in a power suit was all the bait needed to spring White American Men boner-first to the polls to vote for the GOP.

It's their own oversight and overzealous smug arrogance that lost GOP the Presidency.

    Looks good on them.

can't agree with you completely on this. i agree that palin didn't help in the long run, but i think more of the reason for mccain losing is due to how sloppy his campaign was run and the fact that democrats actually got off their duffs and voted in massive numbers this time around. i didn't vote for obama, but it was clear at least a month before the election that mccain didn't stand a chance, and it wasn't just because palin was on his ticket. the response to obama and his charm was too much for the republicans this time. they're going to have to make some big changes in how they run their campaigns in the future if they want to stand a chance in elections. personally, i think obama will be a 2 term president, barring an assassination. before you flip your lids, i'm not saying he will be killed, or that he should. i'm just saying that if he makes it through the first 4 years, i have no doubt in my mind that he'll win re-election.

I enjoy looking at Campbell Brown...

That and she is a great anchor. When she went on a rant about how racist and ridiculous people calling Obama a "secret Muslim" was... she earned my respect (this was a week or two before the Colin Powell endorsement when he also put it very well).

I thought CNN provided by far the best coverage of this election... with Campbell being part of that.

campbell was responding directly to mccain campaign assertions that palin hurt their campaign; but i don't think it stops there, i'm sure she agrees with you that overall the campaign was run like a three stooges movie.
