... and remember that it's a free country, we are allowed to have differing opinions, even though we all love this same band. Imagine that! I'm not gonna name any names for fear of more hostile pm's... but some of us have been biting people's heads off for asking questions and voicing opinions that don't match our own. I won't claim to be above the snarky remark or well-placed jab, but things have gotten a wee bit outa control in some instances and I really think we all need to CHILL. Maybe put on some tunes and take a break from politics for, oh, five minutes? C'mon, we can do it. Who's with me?

There is a difference between having a difference of opinion and being a jerk.

There is also a difference between arguing an ISSUE and just plain trash talking and being an asshole.

I suggest you go review some of the language you have used in recent posts:

"paultard"
"dumbass"
"deluded"

and reconsider your "contributions" to the atmosphere around here. Remeber, you reap what you sow.

I was simply noting that one can not expect to continualy deride, antagonize, and generaly condescend towards people, and expect a positive response.

Its simple psychology.

Sweetpotato has for the past half year done nothing but call people "paultards" and deliberately insult the opposing view points of every and any one that disagrees with her political views.

I am by no means even insinuating that i personaly haven't been guilty of the same thing, but i sure as fuck am not ignorant enough to start posting threads asking people to chill, after i just insulted them.

i can do the same thing with your posts and find rude, insulting comments. that's the whole point. let's not perpetuate the stupidity, is what i'm saying. are you capable of stopping? i think you are.

actually, what you say here is not entirely true. it's just more of the same from you- exaggerated, hysterical and self-important.

if everyone who disagrees with you is ignorant, and anyone who tries to encourage more peaceful exchanges is also ignorant, then exactly WHO is left? just YOU?
