he should get booed for that pitch he threw, it was terrible. I thought it was quite interesting when they showed the atmosphere after 9-11 and the pitch last night...it seems the great uniter he hasn't been.

About the only thing he has united in Iraq or in this country are the war profiteering corporations.

They love him to death, he has made them richer.

Remember... here's a guy doesn't care what we think. He's the decider. He has often stated that opinion polls mean nothing to him... well, except those polls coming out of Iraq that says things are improving over there. So, in other words... he doesn't give a crap about what we have to say... but, listens to the people of Iraq, instead.
Except those people in Iraq that say we need to get the fuck out of their country... those people, he considers to be more like us.

Maybe, George W. should throw out the first soccer... er.... futbol ball at the Fallujah Jihad Genadiers vs. Najaf Headchopperoffers match this Summer.

I agree, he care less what we think he's all about himself and his inner circle. He wouldn't have the balls to throw out that ball, to much of a chickenshit.

also, did you notice that wasnt the nationals catcher? i read somewhere that their catcher was on the steroids list so they got another guy so the prez wouldnt be put in an awkward situation. mission accomplished!

That is correct I think his name was La Duca and he didn't catch that ball thrown by him. Although this wouldn't be the first time he would've been caught in or out of an awkward situation.

    National Gaurd anyone?

Yeah the pitch didn't go to LaDuca IIRC. I think Manny Acta, the manager caught it. I was at a restaurant and wasn't paying close attention tho.

    OK ... I'll say it:

It didn't sound like booing to me.

I mean, there definitely was *some* booing ... but I had to plug in my headphones to really hear it. It really didn't sound like "41,000 people booing" to me.

It may not have been 41,000 however it was more than enough that voiced their displeasure with GWB.

Terrible? It was high, but compared to the skippers usually thrown out for the first pitch I'd say it was a pretty good effort. James Washington of Fox Sports Radio, who is not a Bush fan, said "The Decider" has gotten it to the plate in each season of his presidency. Not bad.

  • When does Bush find time to practice throw a baseball around in between running a country and reading a zillion books a month (or something like that).

I bet it was a self guided pentagon developed baseball...funny but not out of the realm of possibilities in todays technology....lol
