Just to give you some perspective on the CFR...Cheney himself used to be the director of this special organization. If that's any indication of this little club and who get membership/indoctrinated I don't know what is.
I extremely confident many (many) will be voting for the very thing they think they are voting out. Fooled three times...
Cheney IS the anti-christ, but that doesn't condemn the entire organization and its work. you'll have to do better that the guilt-by-association tactic for this line of argument to work.
regardless of the CFR, i think Edward's own words in that address speak for themselves. and i think what he has to say makes sense.

I agree with this. If we're going to go the "guilt by association" way of things, what does that say about Ron Paul being a Republican? Does that connect him to all of the bullshit that's going on now?

Which leads me to the conclusion that you know nothing about the CFR. the fact that he is even allowed to be there and speaking shows his true colors. He's a pro establishment talking head.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,

He's a CFR buddy. HE's giving speeches at the CFR on military spending! open your eyes on that one....he's in bed (and membership) with the very same people you are trying to vote out!
honestly...that's some funny shit right there.
no offence but you need military spending. just because a person listens or talks to peopel you don't like doesn't mean that they are in bed with that group.
even Ron paul would spend money are military.

Yes, but RP would reduce it dramatically back to normal levels before all the empire building conquer the world mentality started. I have yet to hear one democrat (aside from Kucinich or Gravel) or any other republican talk with any (believable) conviction against the MIC establishment, and upholding the constitution. It all sounds like deceptive lip service to me in order to steal votes and continue on with the exact same plan. Steal money from the taxpayers so government can retain all the power to control everything through intimidation.

so i just went to RP website and saw something funny there about the UN and war. do you find this funny.
Does the government do a particularly good job at regulating the environment anyway?
Wasn't one of bushes greatest "acomplishments" rolling back environmental laws by passing things like the "Clean Air Act" and allowing for "fire proofing" of forrest by allowing loggers in to them? Allowing bad mining practices, etc?
If you understand what "subsidies" really do to market places, and you understand how perverse federal "regulation" is, and you understand what the word "lobbyist" means, you would probably agree that using the federal Government as the primary means of environmental control is not actualy all that sound of a policy.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

RP seems to think that paying fines is really going to hurt business. it won't except for the small farmer or small business. what will happen is that teh big business will fire their workers. was there not a story about how exxon still has not paid a cent for that spill.

Its called Specific Performance and it can be acomplished through the legal system, withOUT federal law, i may add.
There are things called states that can pass laws too, you know.
What do you think the FEDERAL government is doing so well right now with regards to "the environment", anyhow?

what do i think the federal government is doing well right now. NOTHING, (you might be surprised to know taht we have alot in common) i just think that the world is more difficult than just saying "lets stop this, lets stop that"

he says that he does not want the Un interfering with the US but in reality he should say man if we listen to the Un we would not have been in this war in the first place.
RP can't have it both ways. if he wanted to be truthful what he should say is teh american public deserve this war.
seems harsh but is it true or not?

With regards to the occupation of Iraq, it wouldn't be required to listen to UN if US foreign policy was in proper order in the first place is what I think he's getting at.

i am actually going to tell you a true story about my youth. i was a very shy kid, i actually never talked to a single person outside of class until around grade 11. the strange thing is that i was beated up pretty much everyday. i never did anything to another person ever before that but was still beat up. i assume that i am not the only person this ever happen to.
the reason i state this has a point. imagne me as the US with a proper order in foreign policy I.E don't mess with others do you think that the bullies would leave me alone or do you believe that i would still be picked on?
you see i am not a big fan of saying this that you hear in the news like "they hate us for our freedom" or "they hate us because we bother them" for me these are all things that we believe in but might not be true because we are not them. (not in the Us and them way) now that i have grown up, i realize maybe these people pick on me because they lack confidence and they tried to hide it by acting tough. but yet again, i am not them so i can't say this as truth.

I know exactly what you're saying, but if you were 6 foot five and a wall of muscles (had nukes) it would be a different situation.

that might be true, but let's say that i was 6 foot 5 with muscles but was against fighting it would not change. RP in the last debate said that they hate the US becuase we are in their homeland. i think that is to simple of a reason but at the same time a very complex reason. we live in a very small world when you think about it. a country cannot live on it's own, we need and should work with other countries. that can be seen by people as being involved in their country. some people might like that while others may hate it.
like i did before i am going to post RP idea on the war and security. please read the last 2 paragraphs. this idea is based on the common idea that everyone wants the same things which might not be true.
