Vote for Ron Paul with a write in or vote for Chuck Baldwin whom he endorsed.

saveuplife wrote:Congrats. But, your post makes little sense. Obama is completely on the opposite end of the spectrum from someone like Ron Paul.
I'm not voting for Obama because I agree with him on everything, which I don't. I'm voting for him because the alternative is McCain/Palin. I would write-in Ron Paul's name and vote for him, but that wouldn't do much good, since it's obvious that either McCain or Obama will be out next President.
I am breaking with my party based solely on the fact that Obama has a lot of positives going for him. I believe he has the ability to unite the country if he doesn't let Congress pull him too far to the left. I also think under his leadership, we will get out of Iraq quicker, which Ron Paul would appreciate.
Believe me, if Ron Paul was running against Obama instead of McCain/Palin, Obama wouldn't be getting my vote. I just see a better alternative with Obama at this point.Free the West Memphis Three

But that party has been kidnapped bt the fanatics and the derilects.
Obama is much closer to Paul than McCain is.
If the Gop could find itself and become about small government and very limited foriegn interference then it would be a party I could look at. But I think the religious right has a strangle hold.
Very well said. I also admire Chuck Hagel. It's a shame he didn't run. He's a very bright guy.Free the West Memphis Three

I don't see how you can vote for Obama when he is going to tax us blind, something Paul is against. Plus Obama favors amnesty for illegal aliens which I am very much against, while Paul favors ending the birthright amendment and does not support amnesty, which I am for. Those are my two voting points.0 -

There's talk about him possibly being Secretary of State/Defense should Obama win the election. I hope that happens, for I agree that he seems very intelligent.0 -

Are you saying Ron Paul is pro-big-government and pro-spending?
because he would love to drasticaly slash the federal budget.
Also, Ron Paul has been outspoken about his beliefs with regards to "free trade", and he does NOT support it. He is more against it than Obama, even though that isn't saying much. I mean, Obama is full of shit on that point. Sorry, its true.
AND YOU PUT PAUL BELOW MCCAIN ON TAXES?
WTF?
The guy would love to get rid of pretty much ALL taxes.
How the fuck can you put him below McCain, much less Mr. I Would Love For The Government To Pay for EVERYTHING Obama.
???
Please, re-read my post. You aren't making even the slightest bit of sense. You are taking the ranking system (which I explained in detail in the post) and throwing it out the window. So, in turn, you come up with the complete opposite take-away than what was meant to occur.
Next time, try reading the whole post.0 -
the modern republican party is not made up of religous zealots - they are neo-conservatives who are interesed in economic imperialism and basically raping the country for all it's worth ... the religious angle is just the tool they use to convince their base they are worth of their support ...
the GOP has got to be the least fiscally responsible government out there ... i would say a green party gov't would be more fiscally responsible than the GOP ..
and i'll say it again - how can ANYONE vote for mccain/paling aka bush v. 2.0 in this election? ... unless you think the last 8 years have been the best years of your life - voting GOP again is ridiculous ...0 -

So you're choosing hope and or hoping for the best and that Obama will actually work across the asile over the canidate that was thrust upon you and screwed over 8 years prior.
I get that. It's understandable given the transgressions and in actions of this group of people. If you're not willing to vote 3rd party it's a completely understandable line of thought. Absolutely nothing wrong with being disgusted with this incarnation of the republican party.
Even if you consider yourself a republican. They've done virtually nothing to earn your vote. Even thier commercials ring hollow. They've been towing a bad line for years now. Way to far to the moral side, while ignoring thier role in size and scope on the economic end.
When you have some lady singing Redneck Woman at your rally clearly you've lost touch with the intellectual side of your party. My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.0
