The corporate media, especially in the United States, has been rabidly critical of the democratically elected Venezuelan government. Much of the attacks smacks of the propaganda used to defame and overthrow democratically elected Jacobo Arbenz of Guatemala back in the 50s and Salvador Allende in the early 70s.

Historically, defaming popularly elected Latin American leaders has been the first stages of corporations reasserting their power. The next typical step involves perpetrating a coup (or invading the country) to install a dictator more congenial to allow corporations unimpeded access to labor and resources. Despite the official rhetoric of giving people their freedom, brutal dictators like Armas and Pinochet were installed to make Guatemala and Chile safe for companies such as United Fruit Company, Kennecott Copper, and ITT. That the dictators employed death squads to enfore their rule was ignored by "freedom loving" politicans and business executives as long as the money coffers swelled.

In plain English: The United States government and United States corporations has never given a damn about liberating people, but instead only caring about procuring bargain priced resources (booty) and inexpensive labor (slaves, indentured labor). Wake up, sleeping Americans! You too are products to be used and manipulated by corporations. You too are cannon fodder to be expended to protect the profit of capitalists. And corporations use propaganda, public relations, and misleading distortions to rally support for wars which enrich the wealthy few at the expense and bloodshed of people such as you.
The movie ran through me
The glamour subdued me
The tabloid untie me
I'm empty please fill me
Mister anchor assure me
That Baghdad is burning
Your voice it is so soothing
That cunning mantra of killing

The usa's way of bullying countries into selling there soul so american corps profit will collapse in on itself eventually, indeed change is already happening, hence America starting wars in the name of liberating countries to give them freedom and democracy.

When in reality america's economy is in deep s**t so they need to get these countries selling in dollars again.
Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.
