So i look at the news headlines today, cause i don't live in Australia anymore and i like to still check what's happening around the place.

This is the headlines. So retarded. If this is the best they can do i don't know why they bother. How can any of these stories warrant front page headlines.

Actually I think its kind of a good thing when the papers have nothing better than rubbish like that to report. I was talking to a malaysian colleague yesterday about how people get some worked up over trivial things in Asutralian politics. In his country people are thrown in jail and never heard from again if they complain too much about the government. I think we should consider ourselves lucky that we usually only have stupid trivial issues to get excited about.

You know I rarely if ever get my news from ninemsn. If I really want to know about something I tend to head for the ABC, SBS or The AGE. And of course I still love to pick up The Big Issue and any other small publications.
But anything from the major news outlets is so much like junk food these days, I rarely ever bother with it.

And not that I'm even remotely interested in the footy but:

Hey Gurl did turn the scores on at half time and it seems the Cats are out in front. Like I said not really a fan, so wouldn't really bother me who won.

Having never been a follower of footy codes other than Aussie Rules, I remember I bought myself a glass with the Manly Sea Eagles emblem on it (I think) while I was visiting Manly as a kid. I liked the glass and I liked Manly. Good enough reason to support them I thought!
