What is the point of being able to 'ignore' a user, but still being able to see a 'new thread' and title heading from them? Why can't you ignore everything that the user does? Am i doing something wrong?

Can't help you with your question. I don't use the ignore feature, I just ignore ;)

This is probably the wrong forum too.
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!

i used to feel the same way you do. i find that its easy. i just don't waste my time here anymore. i have other things to worry about besides trying to convince people of my point of view. the only reason i even replied here is that i thought that since you got worked up you like myself might need a break from the train. personally i find that i am a happier person since i stopped giving a shit about politics....

Thanks for the reply. As you know, mostly i post in the musicians and gear forum. I don't know what it is about the moving train lately, things really have taken a downward turn. i know politics causes differences of opinions, and healthy debate is good for our minds, but there's just so much nastiness and deliberate baiting to upset people by a few people that make it just not an enjoyable place to go to anymore.

I know all the bad asses here just think 'toughen up princess', and ignore, but you know, in real life, i wouldn't take some of the shit from people that gets dished out here and i sure as hell won't be doing it from random people on a message board.

There is also many cool people that post here too, but the troublemakers ruin it for everyone.

The Musicians and Gearheads forum is all about sharing achievements, lusting over gear, going out of our way to be helpful to new musicians and hopefully motive and support them in their learning process. I've never wanted to ignore anyone there. We all respect each other, regardless of our views on things.

I didn't think i'd see you around lately, hope all is going well with your band. Take care and all the best.

Exactly. I'm amazed at how seriously some people take these places. For the most part I think it's all about the drama. They need to be dramatic. Need to be noticed. No one is forcing anyone to click on a particular thread or read a particular post. Ignore feature? Now that's funny. Talk about drama. If you know it's a thread from someone you don't care for just don't click on it. It's that easy. Imagine that.

oh yeah, I love it how people think they know everything about people. It's far from 'all about the drama and need to be noticed'. I don't give a fuck about being noticed and don't look for attention. I just wanted to know how to use the 'ignore button correctly'. Is that such a fucking crime.

would be nice if the mods could delete this post before anyone else jumps on their soap box and has something to say.

    Jesus

Talk about not being able to have a civil discussion.
  • I guess they dont pay Spinbret's dumbass enough to work weekends.

the ignore function is kind of useless, now that PJ Gurl mentions it.
