A great speech, too bad the place was 1/2 full, it almost makes me consider voting for Obama.

    Awesome!

Not exactly a speach for the ages, but Dennis is a good man who stands for a good cause.
He may be a bit nutty at times, but I've always been a fan of him.

THIS was my one and only choice for President. THE only man in Congress with any guts and balls. The only one willing to impeach this president and another reason why he was never given a chance to speak and debate about what he wanted for America.

The only person or candidate I've ever heard who wants to create a Department for Peace, which is unheard of in these times.

Wake Up AMERICA! WAKE THE FUCK UP!

    Peace

  • a very powerful speech.
sad that he's not on the ticket.

The world is like a ride in an amusement park, and when you choose to go on it you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. The ride goes up and down, around and around, it has thrills and chills, and it's very brightly colored, and it's very loud, and it's fun for a while. Many people have been on the ride a long time, and they begin to wonder, "Hey, is this real, or is this just a ride?" And other people have remembered, and they come back to us and say, "Hey, don't worry; don't be afraid, ever. Because this is just a ride." And we...kill those people. "Shut him up! I've got a lot invested in this ride, shut him up! Look at my furrows of worry, look at my big bank account, and my family. This has to be real." It's just a ride. But we always kill the good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok? But it doesn't matter, because it's just a ride. And we can change it any time we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings of money. Just a simple choice, right now, between fear and love. The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

Great speech....him and Chuck Hagel tell it how it is. That would be a great ticket Hagel/Kucinich 08! I'll settle for Obama/Biden........for now.

We're so used to elections where, in the end, we just can't win. It's always Terrible (D) vs. more Terrible (R), and vice versa.

Imagine an election where we couldn't lose?

    Kucinich (D) vs. Paul (R)

    That'd be awesome :)

Nicely put, Dennis. Good speech. :)

Why is Barack Obama good enough for Dennis Kucinich the man, but not the Kucinich supporters?
  • Why is Barack Obama good enough for Dennis Kucinich the man, but not the Kucinich supporters?

Personally, i view Kucinich as a good and honest man ... very honest ... but still just waking up himself.

Over the past year he has really come in to his own with support for "9/11 truth" or at least, if you will, supporting a new investigation and saying the government version needs reexamination.

But such radical shifts in personal outlook tell one (or tell me) that Kucinich is JUST starting to REALLY wake up himself ...

therefore, it wouldn't be too hard to think that perhaps he is still a bit "naive" in his trust for Obama.

Maybe Kucinich is one of those, like my dad, who can't envision any great evil in the world, because he erroneously thinks that "all men are mostly good, and want to do good" ... and then compound that with the problem of having to hear all this unsubstantiated rhetoric exiting Obama's mouth ...

i can see where it may make it hard for someone like Kuciinich ... who wants to believe in genuine altruism, and wants to believe in his party ... make it hard for someone like Kuciinich to arrive at and then proclaim the truth about Obama and his great "CHANGE" sham.

    ???

If I opened it now would you not understand?

So, then why support someone that you think is "naive" and could be duped by a "change sham"???
