    He was THE top religious leader of the Palestinians during the war. The level of your denial is unbelieavable.

    'THE top religious leader of the Palestinians'? No he wasn't. Try reading the page you provided a link for again. And when I say 'read', i mean read all of it, and not just the parts that serve your purpose.
