you can be sure that far more than 30,000 Iraqis were killed

and the American's get far more attention

I think I'd rather give attention to the 1'000'000+ souls that have REALLY died, not to the flag they were carrying when they did so.

To the people who do notice those flags though, I'd say that Americans do get more attention. It's all media-driven, and I'm pretty sure that the US controls much more of the global media than Iraq, hence, the attention towards the fallen Americans.

    Yeah.
    Its BS.

Given that this is a "new kind of war", there is a "new kind of math for a new kind of death toll".

Most ALL deaths NOT on the American "side" are civilian deaths.

Those "non deaths" are, by multiple source estimates, somewhere between 650,000 and 700,000+

    So make that 730,000.
    ;)

Of course, there are probably about 100 american "civilian" deaths too, if you count the reporters and "contract workers".

    :(

Naturally the US deaths are going to be made more of an issue in western media than Iraqi deaths.

The latest survey suggests that 1.2 million Iraqis have been killed.

....no. A great many of us care about the Iraqis. A great many of us don't believe in this 'war'/occupation.

Unfortunately, even our own troops' deaths are not getting headlines either, anymore.

Where did you find the 30,000 figure? Every respectable survey puts the figure at ovr 1 Million. Are you relying on Fox news and 'Iraq body count' for your information?

I find it very hard to believe that 30,000 Iraqis have been killed when the US uses tactical bombing that can occur like this....F-16 is a Homicide Bomber. You can move it up to the 1 minute mark if you wish and take a look.

No what? Common sense tells me that western media will be more detailed in its reports of western deaths in iraq than iraqi deaths. Im not saying its right but its not difficult to understand.
