McCready, who has a personal and private relationship with his amp like any good lead rock and roll guitarist should, but also with his audience. Mike seems to have a side role as the conductor of the audience, often raising his hands a split second before Eddie’s vocal calls for it, and is continuously scattering guitar picks by the handful to the outstretched hands of the hanging-off-the-edge-of-the-stage crowd like manna from heaven (his nickname among the crowd: The Master.)
