If the Libs want to impeach Bush, let them

Though I probably wouldn't agree with their reasons for doing it, I would support the impeachment of the president because he has failed to enforce the law on the border. He's failed to protect our sovereignty.

If the libs want to impeach him for his conduct during the war, I'd support it. The ends justify the means in this case.

    Well let's not go crazy.

Well he's right but he probably supports a subjective view of the constitution that he holds in his pocket.

This government needs a top to bottom change. Complete and utter elimination of those who have corrupted it.

Now there is something I can agree with you 100%. I would go even further and say not only do we have to eliminate those that have corrupted it, we have to undertake a massive scaling back of the size and scope of the federal government.

Count me in as one of the Repubs who won't vote for any of the libs that are currently the front-running nominees. I'd rather let Hillary win than let Rudy or McCain in.

He wants to kill the IRS. He wants to end the war. Ron Paul knows what the fuck he is talking about and the other Republicans don't have a fucking clue.

Abolish the IRS? That's fucking awesome.

Now I know the apocolypse is near when CorporateWhore and I are supporting the same candidate.

Well, he IS pro-life, pro-gun rights, and supports border enforcement. I bet he's closer to me than to you.

Nonetheless, Paul is a uniting figure because he's intelligent and principled. You know what he believes. That's something we should be EXPECTING from each and every candidate.

We as far as his pro-life pro-gun rights I support him because he believes it should be left up to each individual state, which is the way it should be. I also support his belief that we should do away with the IRS and his stance on minimal federal government.

But you are correct that even if you don't agree with his policies you can't help but admire the man because you know where he stands and he is a man of principle and honesty.

Wouldn't an Impeached President Bush result in a President Cheney?
    ...
I thought Bush(41) had a bulletproof vest with Vice President Quayle... Cheney give Bush(43) an Atom Bombproof vest.

I haven't decided who to support, but I hadn't ruled out Obama until he said that. I'm through with him now. I can't understand anyone who doesn't want to see these criminals impeached.

We already have President Cheney. The impeachment of President Bush would result in Congress spending the remainder of this term focusing solely on impeachment. Then, in a year in a half, Bush leaves office. Just like he's going to anyway.

Personally, I'm not opposed to impeachment; it'd certainly be fun to watch. But it wouldn't do anything to end Bush's term any sooner. In my opinion, the window on impeachment closed a year, year and a half ago.

it's a waste of time and effort. Better to focus on the future

I have to agree with RainDog and Pacomc79. As much as I believe that the leaders of this administration should face the consiquences of their actions an effort to impeach them would be a major waste of time. Congress cam barely get anything done as it is never mind if they are all wrapped up in the impeachment process.

    Can't we just impeach Cheney?

    http://impeachcheney.org/?utm_source=rgemail

But in all seriousness, I agree that impeaching at this point is rather redundant. We need to overthrow the entire administraion and throw them in jail. Bush deserves a fair trial.
