I want to say congratulations to everyone in the USA who supports this amazing man. You did it!
Also, congratulations to everyone in this world who supports Barack Obama!

A huge thank you goes out to everyone on the pit (and the rest of America as well! :D) that voted for Barack Obama. Thank you for making this moment in my life one that I will remember for the rest of my days.

Today is a significant day. Today is a day which will go down in history. I hope the world is behind us. I hope the world can see the penchant for change that is about to come....

Most Europeans are so happy about what you achieved today - thank you so much. It feels like the sun is rising in the west today.

You guys have had the wool pulled over your eyes. I am now ashamed to be an American because of the rhetoric I see on here. Only now are you proud to be Americans? Pathetic. I wish you would have all moved to Canada like you claimed when Bush won in 2004.

    Well.

Barack did a hell of a job with the Chicago Community and School Boards. As a parent of 2 in Chicago...I'm quite happy about that.

The man has accomplished many things in his life; last night being one of them.

Perhaps you should leave your party bias at the door and help to build the country rather than take the pessimstic, apathetic, and negative approach that has proven to get this Country nowhere in the last 8 years.

    See You Out There.

I was on my university campus last night (in Canada as well), and decided to go grab a burger from the cafeteria. At this point, it was roughly 205 electoral votes versus 95. When I turned off the TV, left for the cafeteria, arrived, and had eaten my burger, I turned to the TV, and saw them announcing that Obama had won. I looked to the cashier, an african-american (Canadian?), and she was in tears. It was a really neat thing to see. Made me proud to have American blood in me, rather than the shame I've felt for the last so many years.

If he can run his presidency the way he ran his campaign... against all odds and still raise the funds while taking a stand against the wealthy. I belive that's a large measure of proof of what he is capable of....

No he hasn't been a career politician.... but that's a strength IMO, not a weakness....

And yes he can give a good speech, Jesus that's a dumb argument. The greatest coaches of championship teams are motivators.
Nobody wants to listen to a Dumbass make a speech.

If we're all so stupid here on the pit why don't you go away? I'm tired of all this thinking and if you weren't here we wouldn't have to try so hard to meet your intelligence standards.
