Absolutely NO FLORIDA shows until they learn how to hold a proper election.

They screw up every election . . . when will they get one right? You can't vote by mail? What is up with that?

It took Oregon 11 years to perfect their vote-by-mail system and you expect one of the largest states in the country to pull it off in a few months?

They'll end up doing a regular election, I think.

BTW, where are you so I can decide if you should get a show.

    :D

Good point. I was just being a little mischievous with the “****Official ___ ___ ___ Petition****” stuff. You still need to bust your elected officials in the balls. They need to get this election stuff right for a change. We have been voting by mail for over TEN years in Washington.

I think they should boycott Seattle too. I would love to be in Florida right now. It is cold, windy, and 40 degrees in Seattle at the moment. I would actually rather see a show in Philadelphia than Seattle. The crowds in Seattle can almost be comatose at times. The last few arena shows had something missing, and I think it was the crowd. If you have any pull, have them drop Seattle off the list. My favorite shows always seem to be in Philly. I think they will play some southern dates this time around, but they seem to be in greater demand in the northeastern US. Just my opinion, but I think they play the NE US a lot because of the support. A lot of fans concentrated in a small area, good radio support, easy access for all east coast fans. Hey . . . I will travel from Seattle just to see a Philly show. I always run into a lot of Florida people at NY, DC, and Philly shows. See a Philly show and you won't be disappointed. I would still see them play an arena show in Seattle, but don't count on the crowd being awake. They might be more worried about getting to bed early than enjoying the show.

That's interesting about the Seattle crowds. Maybe they're spoiled?

And I agree about the Northeast. I was at the first Randall's Island show. Insane crowd.

We're our own worst enemies in the South. Political conspiracies aside, tickets didn't sell well in several cities down here in '03 (including Tampa). I think they'll fill the seats pretty fast this time if AIC is on the bill though.

The only legitimate complaint from the last tour - the dates being released in bits and pieces. Many of us would (should) have traveled to other cities, but remained hopeful that there would be shows down here.

I won't make that mistake again.

Anywho, lets hope we all get shows, the tickets sell well and the crowds are nucking futs!

Relax . . . just having a little fun. I’m from Seattle and said following in an earlier post (#3):

“I think they should boycott Seattle too.”

“I would actually rather see a show in Philadelphia than Seattle. The crowds in Seattle can almost be comatose at times. The last few arena shows had something missing, and I think it was the crowd. If you have any pull, have them drop Seattle off the list.”

    You make two great points!!!

Everyone seems to think they are not playing the south because of some political agenda or statement. I think it was all about ticket sales.

It is sure easy to get folks all riled up :-)

Planning is difficult when you learn about tour dates in stages. I think this practice helps sell more tickets.

I'd like to think that's not why they did it, but it did drive up demand.

What really sucked was that I passed on a ticket for one of the Meadowlands shows because I was so sure Florida would get announced in the next wave.

    Won't make that mistake again.

Ouch . . . that would sting. I remember 03 and I was surprised that we didn't see show dates across the entire US. I just hope the pending news is a pj tour.
