Not that this is any surprise. After the somewhat unexpected statements upon his appointment to Defense Secretary (along the lines that America in Iraq wasn't such a good thing), Gates has returned from a 3-day visit there to give prelude to Bush's upcoming State of the... er, speaking thing, er, to the American, er, talking to the Americans thing, in January.
