When was the last time the President photo-opped at an elementary school in support of American education?

Q: I don't think he has, since 9/11. Why do you suppose that is?
    A: I don't know for sure that he hasn't.
Q: Could it be because, as has been reiterated time and time again by the administration, "the world changed on 9/11."
A: Well, maybe, but what does that mean in terms of supporting public education?
    Q: Good question.

Q: "Reiterated time and time again" is totally redundant.
A: Yeah, I see that. Oops.
Q: Are you trying to tell me that the Administration doesn't give a damn about K-12 education?
A: It appears that way. I mean, if you think about it...Authoritarian Dominance Theory...have you ever heard of it?
Q: After reading another one of CW's posts the other day 'Dominance Theory' popped into my head, so I googled it.
A: And what did you find?
Q: I wasn't the first to think of it.

I suggest starting with social dominance theory, then work into the authoritarian dominance theory.

  • Nothing that I can remember... The only non-military type place that I recall him speaking at in the last few years was when he was talking about the sanctity of life bullshit in front of a bunch of kids when talking against stem cell research.

I know he's been speaker at a few Universtiy events. As far as the K-12, I think they've been non-existent since 9/11.

    I find it rather odd.

    Maybe it's just me.

Man I'd love it if one did to abolish the federal department of education and returned that power and money to the states.

There probably aren't any photo ops because teachers would let him have it verbally if he went inside a school. His NCLB plan is retarded.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

  • He's too busy reading all those books with Rove...
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.
