You know what's really funny? That the reps fucked up so badly, that even though the dems don't have a plan, they still won.

    Now that's funny.

Kind of like when the Democratic Kerry couldn't beat the man who, according to the majority of you here, is the worst President ever and who should be impeached and imprisoned. Now that was funny.

Actually its a commentary on the lack of intelligence of the average voter.
Also its a credit to Rove's scare tactics and invoking religion into a politics.

its a well known fact that people who went farther in school on the average voted for kerry.

I also like how desperate the Republicans were when Kerry back handed the "simple minded" troop. Like THAT was going to save them from getting 'housed' this election.

It's a crazy country we live in!

I know how you must be feeling so I'm not going to rub it in. I wish we could all get past this partisanship and actually compromise on some issues.

    Where have ya been?

Actually, I'm not all that upset about it. I am going to wait and see what happens before I make any solid opinions on the turnover. I hope they decide to cut spending instead of just raising taxes, I hope they focus on issues instead of Bush/Republican bashing, and I hope they can come up with a good plan for Iraq.

I've been around. I just have to take breaks from this place once in awhile.

Kinda like the lack of intelligence of people voting for congressmen and senators on the basis one issue huh......

I think Americans should be proud that despite having a mainly right wing, republican supporting media, spouting pro-rebublican propaganda, the people still had the sense to vote Democrat. That in itself is a great achievement and bodes well for the future. I bet the media moguls at Fox and NBC are banging their heads together wondering where they went wrong!

a mainly right wing republican supporting media spouting pro-republican propaganda? this proves you have no idea what you are talking about. you might be able to make that case for fox news, but cnn? cbs? nbc? you're crazy. nbc owns msnbc. msnbc has keith olbermann. keith olberman is at least as fanatic in his own leanings as bill oreilly is in his. olberman is a raving, pissed off liberal. cnn is as left as they get. you could see paula zahn getting moist, and i thought wolf blitzer was going to spooge his pants at 10pm on election night when some polls closed and he could finally announce that the dems had taken control of the house...

a mainly right wing republican supporting media spouting pro-republican propaganda. what a joke

    nope.

I really don't care who has control. But everyone here knows that if the Repubulicans had held onto power this board would be lit up with fraud allegations. Goes to show that the disenfranchisement argument is just more political bullshit.

MSNBC also has Tucker Carlson and Joe Scarborough sandwiching Keith Olberman.

And they have Chris Matthews screaming at the viewer as well.

Any way you look at it though, news analysis shows are different from reporting (Countdown vs. Scarborough Country).

There's a difference other than host and outlook? I watch both those shows if there's nothing else on, and I wouldn't really call either of them "reporting."

I've always been of the opinion that if you want reporting, you have to learn how to read.

I don't think there is a difference in any of this. All sources are biased. Marketing is where they differ. Countdown was brought on as a hard news source while Scarborough Country was brought on to copy O'Reilly and offer an opinion.
