Fantasy Football??????

Hey everyone,

The football season is starting up soon, and I wanted to see if any PJ fans liked Fantasy football? I started a free league for the first 20 PJ fans that want to join in. It's a bad ass league, full O and D roster. Everything counts. If you want to join go to Yahoo Fantasy Football and go to the join custom league button. The ID# is 297146 and the Password is pearljam.

All names for teams have to be Pearl jam related, and I am not making it open to the public, only PJ fans from this board.

Peace,

Tim

Sorry, could not sign up as the scoring is too quirky. I would suggest something like this system-
    Completions (.2)
Passing Yards (45 yards per point)
    Passing Touchdowns (6)
    Interceptions (-2)
    Rushing Attempts (.2)
Rushing Yards (15 yards per point)
    Rushing Touchdowns (6)
    Receptions (.6)
Reception Yards (15 yards per point)
    Reception Touchdowns (6)
    Return Touchdowns (6)
    2-Point Conversions (2)
    Fumbles Lost (-2)
    Offensive Fumble Return TD (6)
    Field Goals 0-19 Yards (3)
    Field Goals 20-29 Yards (3)
    Field Goals 30-39 Yards (3)
    Field Goals 40-49 Yards (4)
    Field Goals 50+ Yards (5)
    Point After Attempt Made (1)
    Point After Attempt Missed (-1)
    Sack (1)
    Interception (2)
    Fumble Recovery (2)
    Touchdown (6)
    Safety (2)
    Block Kick (2)
Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns (6)
    Points Allowed 0 points (12)
    Points Allowed 1-6 points (9)
    Points Allowed 7-13 points (6)
    Points Allowed 14-20 points (3)
    Points Allowed 21-27 points (0)
    Points Allowed 28-34 points (-3)
    Points Allowed 35+ points (-6)

It is balanced between the positions and yields consistent results.

    No joke.

10 points for a receiving TD?
1 point per 5 return yards?
    5 points for a chip-shot FG?

    No thanks.
  • Jeez the league was meant for fun, it's not like the leagues for money. Either way I made a few changes to make it less "quirky" Take a look again and if It feels better join if not there are thousands of other ones to join. As for the logic behind a few things, this is supposed to be a large league, as in the pool to draw from is very thin. So I upped return yards and a few other things to compensate so there are more players that can have an impact so a select few people don't hord all the players and make it impossible for team # 15 to 20 to be competitive.

That's why leagues should be kept small, if you want it to be competitive. Oh well, maybe it's just me. I'm already signed up for the max number of leagues anyway.
  • I don't understand this at all. Wish I did, it seems that everyone who gets it, loves it.
