    uh.
given that the war is NOT declared,
he has TOTAL AUTHORITY to remove the troops.

Congress has power of the purse.

    Remember that.
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

Ron Paul is our revenge for the little Ralph Nader stunt the GOP pulled in 2000.

Ron Paul... the gift that keeps on giving!

    you're probably right about that.

being realistic, i know the chances of ron paul being elected president are beyond miniscule. but i'm supporting him more for the message than anything else. he's bringing some very important issues to the light (the fed, globalist ambitions, etc) and he's getting a lot of people involved. i look at his campaign as a real beginning of some kind of large scale awakening, and the longer he can stay in it, the more it will spread. and hopefully, when the campaign does come to an end, whenever or however that may be, the movement won't.

  • so next I'll be hearing about Kucinich lying about bringing the troops home. Why would paul lie? he would get more votes in the primaries if he supported the war.

    oh wait, its macguyver. nevermind.

i dont hate the guy..i like him... also i think the awakening was started before him... the fact that more and more people are voting for third candidates (WHICH THEY SHOULD) regardless of what people tell them..

although hw is running as a republican...i think he is running like a third party candidate..which is very smart..and while he may not win this year... he is setting more ground for elections to come...

just like nader did... dems and republicans now steal a lot of his ideas in hopes to gain that percentage of people who voted for him...which is what will happen 4 years from now...ron pauls ideas will not go unnoticed and will be utilized in elections to come... so even if he loses...its still a success...and youve got to keep voting for who YOU think is the best...not just because you think they can win.

the only one who is crazy enough to pull all troops out of Iraq is Kucinich and Gravel.. and i think they should if they got elected...but i dont think ron paul will and i think i have a good reason for that..

where are you pulling this "pro-oil" crap from?

Ron is only pro-free-market and pro-trade and ANTI-occupation.

    :(

  • The one thing I would disagree with is yanking the troops all at once. It has to be phased down gradually, otherwise it's a recipe for chaos.

I think RP's stance on "just coming home" hurts his chances.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

you said NO ONE is going to remove the troops from the oil fields right? will gravel?
