    Simple. The Iraqi military was crap and those that oppossed our invasion of Iraq figured that they would stand a better chance fighting a guerilla war against us than taking us head on. So they took what weapons they could and disappeared amongst the population to form their resistance movements.

    you all are wrong! the reason the US were unopposed was because the iraqis wanted to be invaded and killed or perhaps thought they could get a mc donalds outta it all.
