  • i heard ronald mcdonald is running for president in 2008. he figures if bush can get elected to 2 terms, than he's got a pretty good shot.

but seriously, bush wasn't elected in 2000. he was appointed by the supreme court. that's what's been so tragic about these last 6 years.

You want to see something really tragic, look at Washington states last Gubernatorial election. Now that's a farce.

Don't be silly Mr. Skunk. The Democrats won that race, so it doesn't matter if it was a complete farce.

Now your going to have to watch out for sneaky man now that the Dem's won the midterms he's going to pretend to be alot more human being once they take control. And then before you know it it's President Jeb Bush for 8 years.

The mans civil and military record speaks for itself but somehow he beat a decorated Vietnam Vet with excellent creditials for the top job. Why Why Why. Please America vote for the boring guy this next time round.
I can't go the library anymore, everyone STINKS!!
  • Bush is a sanctimonious prick, he is no different to al-quaeda or any other religious or cultural extremist/fascist. I just wait to see what the World and especially the USA learns from the current climate before i choose whether or not choose extremism for my beliefs. No generalisations here, but a country has to be held responsible for the actions of those it elects to govern, all nations have the governments they choose.

No, A President has to be held responsible for the outright lies he's told and gotten away with. He has spun his with the American public and media to the point that this isn't the citizen's fault. Yes, you say we voted him in, but our election system isn't by popular vote. It's speculated that elections here are rigged, there's constant problems with the electronic voting systems and we have a so-called Electoral College that pretty much decides our state's votes for us.

I fully appreciate where you are coming from jean, however when i say a country gets the government it deserves i dont just refer to democracy.

If democracy fails its up to the people to bring it back however is necessary, if they dont, then its down to them, cold i know, but its how i see it.

Iraq needs its civil war, does America also? or is it too busy lecturing everyone else to look in the mirror.

The day the Commonwealth gives up its brotherhood with the USA, and Britain aligns itself fully with Europe (which im beginning to buy into) and withdraws its political alliance, is the day America loses everything. Britains respect in the World is the only thing saving the US from Worldwide comdemnation right now. NO trade= No USA.

Alienating yourself from the most powerful nation in the world is kind of a dumb idea. The UK's not going anywhere, they've invested too much with the US. It would be the politically and economically dumbest move of the millenium. Don't buy into pipe dreams, If the UK completely turns its shoulder to the US, I'll eat my shoe.

i love how people who dont agree with you and think the way you do are automatically incapable of thinking on their own and just follow blindly. I could say the same about your opinion. It's teh same opinion that people have spouted for 6 years in here...quit letting others think for you. Reach down and think for yourself don't just follow the crowd who doesn't like bush.

That being said, i think people should think for themselves and really evaluate the candidates. And we only have ourselves to blame for getting to choose b/t Bush and Kerry. You can't possibly tell me that with 300 million americans those are the best 2 we can come up with.
