    No matter what news station you watch, left or right leaning, journalism in its traditional state is nowhere to be found. Rather it's talking heads who are deemed "experts" on retainer and talk show hosts who sparingly use facts to back up their banter. It's just getting to me.

    Yeah... remember the 'experts' at FOX News claiming that Fred Thompson was the second coming of Ronald Reagan? Political pundits should be called political pud whackers... because that's basically what they are. And anyone who listens to them and believe them are pud whackers, too.

    I'm not necessarily sick of politics but I am sick of the election cycle. It starts earlier every year, gets more media attention and the amount of money being spent is staggering.

    I try to ignore it. I'm well versed on the positions of the candidates, after that what can you do?
    There's a lot more to politics and the well being of our country than national elections. I feel like a lot of people invest so much into the outcome of political races without realizing how much more proactive they could be by working in their own communities. It's so much more empowering and effective to work on smaller scale projects that you can personally effect.
