Whether it is terrorism, or the flaws of a president, ultimately, it is about the shining light revealing the underlying flawed foundations of a nation. Whatever the catalyst, terrorist, or presidents, they don't make people act the way they do. Regardless of the form of the catalysts here, there is awesome power in the people to rise above: to figure out how to resolve problems, and how to get along with your "enemy" even if it is the enemy beside you on this message board.

This is not accomplished by continuing to divide among yourselves. It is not accomplished by blaming the other guy for the problems. It's about owning one's own behaviour and learning how to bridge the gaps in any way possible. The leaders and what happens on the world stage is a reflection of the people. When the people decide to mature and generate mature, responsible leaders, it will happen.

No, he said he doesn't like the Bush administration, he didn't say that he wants the Bush administration to win!

Your right we can't depend on him. We have to depend on our military, policemen, firefighters to protect us from terrorists. But since 9/11, which was partially Bush's fault, but also Clintons, and GHWB, how many attacks have taken place inside the United States with Bush as president?
  • i just cant beleive bush is our president. he wont protect us from terrorists.

    Lisa: That's spacious reasoning, Dad.
    Homer: Thank you, dear.
Lisa: By your logic I could claim that this rock keeps tigers away.
Homer: Oh, how does it work?
    Lisa: It doesn't work.
    Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: It's just a stupid rock.
    Homer: Uh-huh.
Lisa: But I don't see any tigers around, do you?
Homer: Lisa, I want to buy your rock.

i read this thread and immediately thought of this episode.. if you've seen it it might make more sense. but i thought the situation in springfield with their bear and this conversation between homer and lisa relates to all of this
    saw things so much clearer

If that doesn't sum up this administration and their followers. GWB is Homer Simpson. Except Homer is a cartoon and GWB wants to watch cartoons.
