Anyone being sucked into the Survivor Drama?

I am not sure how I feel about it this year....I really don't watch the show anymore, but it seems to be touching a lot of sore spots. Just wondering if anyone has an opinion.

    I've never really seen the show, so I don't know if it's good or not, I hear this season it's about "race", I think it's kinda sad to see a game split by skin color.

    I've never watched the show, and won't watch this season either. But I do like the idea. It sounds interesting. Nobody would care if they separated the groups between men and women, so why care about race? It's just a TV show, and believe it or not, on the whole each race is different (not in a better than the other way), and it would be interesting to see how each group attacks the game.

    I agree, I think it's a very sad that this is being done. With the amount of racism beign conveyed on news programs, the last thing that is needed is the potential for more racism to generate from an entertainment show. Hopefully people don't come away with a slanted view of a certain race.

    So it will come down to the coloured people not digging bugs and camping, the asian people not being able to get by with no electronic gadgets and the whites all voting each other off due to not trusting each other. Going by strict stereotyping of course. This is how I see it being played out.

    Very shallow that they are relying on this method to sell the show.

    This is a very stupid idea ... And I love their justification for it. "Its a social experiment".
    Oh, really? Because good experiments are designed to test specific hypotheses, with the goal to advance knowledge about human behavior. They are well-controlled, and the research question is clear. Good grief ... Reality TV needs to die a quick death.
