Where's all my Yankees fans at celebrating the Red Sux loss tonight to the Devil Rays??? Remember all those times Red Sux fans laughed at us because we lost to the Expansion Marlins in the Series... Well they just lost to the EXPANSION RAYS in the ALCS!

Nothing sweeter than watching to Sux lose... Who's with me?

What a beautiful evening this was :)

RIP RED SUX

Anybody but the Red Sox or Yankees in it is always exciting.

Seriously, when are the rising oceans going to swallow those cities already. ;)
  • As a Yankees fan, it was bitter consolation watching the Rays take the Sox tonight--but consolation none the less.

I'll tip a few to that.

Actually, there were some yankees fans posting in the red sox thread earlier tonight while the game was on. Was some light hearted bantering going back and forth and they seemed like good guys. It's almost orgasmic to see posts like yours, because we know we will always get under your skin. Win or lose. Another thing the sox fans know how to do, is suck it up when we lose, we've been there before. I think it makes our victories all the sweeter when they come. Tonight wasn't our night and the Rays deserved their win.

This is my thoughts on the game.

congrats to the Rays and their fans.

I think you have the wrong forum... but I think it SUCKS to not have the Red Sox in the series.

I know I do not plan to watch any of these games now.. could care less who wins between those two.

  • I'm happy for the Rays fans that have been there all along...all 5 of them.
The bandwagoners with their stupid cowbells and TBS signs piss me off. Where were they in August?

The place couldn't even sell out when they were in the middle of a pennant race.

Rays played well enough to be where they're the World Series. come next year they bring some interesting fun to the Eastern division other than the Yankees. As long as A-Rod is playing for the Yankees they will always be old has beens and JINXED!

Great year for the Sox but I believe we are in a much better situation than the Yankees and once we get to a World Series Terry Francona is Still undefeated. Ya gottalove that. :) I'll be in Fort Myers next year in March for sure.

Hey Speaklers, remember a few years later when you won 189 games during the regular season but come the playoffs the chant was

SAYONARRA ICHURO, SAYONARRA ICHURO, SAYONARRA ICHURO

Sorry, had to come back on that one... that was a classic chant in the old stadium!

I figured you may have run out of kleenex over the last 8 years, especially in 2004 ... you know ... the greatest comeback in major league baseball history?

    Get your kleenex Goodfella1111

2 championships in 5 years ... several stud young arms ... a stocked farm system ... I like the Sox chances going forward, far more than the Yanks ... even if they do break the $300M salary mark.

That's not just any steal.... It's the steal that ignited the comeback and our World Series win.
one of the greatest moments in Red Sox History. I still get chills watching that. Fanfreakintastic.
