I don't really watch O'Reilly unless he's got someone on I want to see. I heard Bill Maher was going to be on and it's always fun to see O'Reilly, who traditionally gets morons on his show, actually go up against Maher...who is really sharp and intelligent.

    And yeah...
    Maher is the man!
  • though im a republican, im not a fan of of o'reilley. but c'mon guys. bill maher??? all he does is insult people 90% of the time. yeah he can be funny, but the guy has little to say in the way of pure, intelligent debate. even though i dont like john stewart either, i think he is head and shoulders above bill maher. i mean this POS dressed as steve irwin for halloween.....what a fucking asshole.

Most people that see him on his shows (PI, Real Time) see a couple things.
    a) They see a comedian.
    b) They see a TV host.

When with his panel he doesn't always get into arguements with his guests, but often simply plays the devil's advocate as a means to get people to open up in their debate. I've watched this guy for years and years and you can see it so clearly. When somebody does say something that pisses him off or is simply wrong he will stand up and correct them. He is extremely well read, and almost always know his facts.
He is also a comedian. So within him being serious about a topic he often cracks jokes.
If you ever watch him on O'Reilly or Larry King...not Leno, Letterman or the like...I don't know how you would question his intelligence.
Outside of his "New Rules" how does he insult people?
And BTW...I still think the Steve Irwin thing was a little crude, but still funny.
