Hey guys
Tonight the ONE Campaign-the campaign to eliminate poverty and AIDS will be at Pearl Jam Pittsburgh show. Please stop by and sign the ONE Declaration there or at any other Pearl Jam show.     Why does the ONE campaign have two different goals (poverty and AIDS)?
    The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    AIDS and Poverty are sadly linked, esp. in developing countries. Because of little or nonexistent health care services, developing coutries have little or no AIDS/HIV education and almost no access to AIDS retrovirals (which cost a few dollars to manufacture.     I went there and read through a couple of pages. I can't really tell what they do other than have people sign a declaration.

    ONE is a great cause, I have worn my wristband every day since I got it around September of last year. I will probably end up giving some more money tomorrow in Cincinnati.

    One of the main goals of ONE is to change the rules the game is played by. Making it an issue of justice and not charity. The want you to sign up so when they go to the politicians they can say "Look, this is the will of the people. This will gain you votes and it's the right thing to do. You can take a leadership postion, save lives, make the world more just and win votes. What are you waiting for?"

    very well put. its sad these days that you have to threaten politicians with their jobs by putting together a list of votes that they won't get if they don't do something. ONE is a very important and effective cause.

    plus that picture of eddie on their site is awesome.
