What are you going to do about it?

With the economy falling apart, and all of the explanation for it that we're seeing in these documentaries... what are you going to do? Are you going to roll with it and go about your everyday life until it happens? Leave the country?

What documentaries, and until WHAT happens?

    ???
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?

    Esoteric Agenda
    The Road to Tyranny
    Zeitgeist
    etc.

The economy collapses completely. Currency becomes worthless. The North American Union becomes totally effective.

  • I have taken to the streets once on 11/22 to protest the existence of the Federal Reserve System, and plan on doing it again. It really was a great experience.

The opportunity to speak about this issue comes up at least once a day, as everyone is concerned about the direction of this country, the economy, etc... I always try and put in my .02 as to how we can really set ourselves back on the road to prosperity. I think what's most important is making people realize that we are going to be taking some serious lumps in the next few years as a result of the past few years. However, if we take time to fix things now, we are giving ourselves the chance at a great future here in this country.

We just really need people to be aware of how this system actually works. Anyone who actually understands it couldn't possibly want it to remain the same. The grand blueprint has to be as follows: spend the next year and a half educating people (including your congressmen and women), and voting primarily on the issue of Freedom or Tyranny in the 2010 election, rather than the same old single-issue politics that never change anything. Pro-life or Pro-choice has to take a back seat-- it really does. Abortion is not going anywhere. Making people realize that they have to take responsibility for themselves is at the heart of every issue, especially that one.

It is time for a revolution. A peaceful one, where the people of this country owe it to themselves and others to wake up, and do something about our problems.
  • Are there any Americans in here getting out of the country for a few years, maybe longer?

One of my best friend intends to be in Argentina by mid-2009, and he has extended that invitation to me.

    I'm seriously considering it.

The only thing stopping me is that i am trying to gather an incomplete farming education before i bail on this place. But, maybe given the times, it might just be better to move down to the land, and figure it out on the fly.

    Hmm.

Sounds pretty cool. I'm doing my final semester of college abroad in Fall 09. There's a chance I could end up staying awhile.

Nothing, because it's not going to happen.

Just got to try and stay positive and do what you can to make a difference. I worked night shift last night and should be sleeping, but right now i have the biggest butterflies running amok in my belly. Waiting on a call from my boyfriend whose entire workforce are having a meeting this morning with the CEO (who never ever visits) and the head of the HR Department. They were only told yesterday that this was happening. I'm very worried.

    Damn :(

Well, look at the positives, Obama is President. He'll increase taxes on your bf's corporation. Although that may lead the corporation to cut costs through layoffs, there'll be more government money for unemployment benefits, if need be.

But, all joking aside, I hope your bf doesn't lose his job.
