I suppose it's pretty bad when a deceased comedian makes more common sense than you do...

so what main points do you agree with and why?

I agree with most of it. This country has been bought and paid for for a long time. Just listen to it with an open mind and think about the last 6 months or so of economic troubles we've had, and it seems to make a lot of sense to me. I know a lot of people don't want to belive it, but it's true.

It couldn't be more obvious, unless english isn't your first language.

Makes More sense than who? Who is 'you'?

Where does he specifically mention Obama supporters, or is that just your opinion?

I agree, so then why would the OP make it seem as though it was directed only at Obama supporters?

Now why would you say that "it's pretty bad when a deceased comedian makes more common sense than you do..." George had a mighty big brain, my friend. He was very much a genius. He worked all day long and was incredibly informed up until the day he died. He wasn't merely a guy telling jokes, as you insinuate with your comment.
For everyone else, he wasn't speaking to Obama from beyond the grave, which is one of the most moronic things I've seen here, he was talking to all of you from the stage that night.
We were all very lucky to have George on our side.
I'm not who you think i am....
  • Carlin was a very smart dude..no doubt. The part where he points out politicians merely run around underneath the cloak of the money changers trying to make everything appear normal is very key.

This is the one thing that got me with Ron Paul. He knows exactly where the control and manipulation is coming from, and he can't say enough bad things about the Fed, and the international bankers selling us all out under false pretenses. I wish Obama would call this bluff, and I'd be willing to bet large that George would have a lot to say about it if he were still alive.

Well said and I completely agree. I always looked to George Carlin as a beam of light in these tumultuous times we've had these last few decades. he always had a way of telling it like it is while entertaining you.

  • If Obama would just once admit (or even ever so slightly hint at) that the Fed is screwing everyone, I would see him in a different light.

    still waiting..

    George knew.

No, not just because Roland posted it. The subject was George carlin speaks to Obama supporters from beyond the grave. Carlin didn't mention Obama or his supporters once. So it's not a matter of reading anything into it. It's reading what was written.

So many regular good posters have stop posting in here, because they have better things to do than try and debate with people who only want to ridicule them and continually put them down. It's gotten so bad recently with the constant inuendu that nobody with a brain would ever consider voting for Obama and that anyone who did vote for him must be some sort of a deluded sheep and they will never ever in a million years admit to him ever doing any wrong. It's getting old, and does not encourage healthy debate.

I've seen plenty of Obama supporters here and in the real world, (myself included), saying we will hold him accountable for his election promises and he most definfitely will not get a free ride.

I stand corrected. Should have paid closer attention to the thread title and not just his first post.
And I say give our Pres elect a fair shake and allow him the time to show himself for the president he's going to be, for fuck's sake he hasn't even been sworn in yet.

Sometimes to get into the game you play along with that game just to get in. Once in he might just change that game well at least a different and better outcome than the last player. He couldn't hit or play worth a damn.

Obama will be held up to the light and scrutinized from top to bottom I KNOW I won't let him or anyone else slide. Times are hard whether we want to admit or not and there's no time to waste.

    Not once? ;)

"The game is rigged. And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care… Good, honest, hard-working people - white collar, blue collar, it doesn’t matter what color shirt you have on - Good, honest, hard-working people continue - and these are people of modest means - continue to elect these rich cock-suckers who don’t give a fuck about them. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t give a fuck about you. They don’t CARE about you - AT ALL! AT ALL! AT ALL! And nobody seems to notice, nobody seems to care. That’s what the owners count on. The fact that Americans will probably remain willfully ignorant of the big Red, White and Blue dick thats being jammed up their assholes every day. Because the owners of this country know the truth. It’s called the American Dream - because you have to be asleep to believe it…”

I think there's a lot of truth to this... All of it. And he doesn't specifically mention Obama. It's a timeless speech. It's about Bush, Clinton, Obama, McCain... It's about nobody in specific, it's about those in power and Obama is in power. Can you give me just one reason why Obama would be different. Can you provide me some evidence that Obama wasn't bought by the same people, that Obama doesn't cave in to special interests, that he will try and change the corrupt nature of this system. You agree that the US was bought and sold a long time ago. I can find you plenty of speeches where Ron Paul or Ralph Nader say this, comment on it, criticise it and express how important it is to destroy this corrupt system.
This speech is also directed at the supporters of anyone in power, that includes Obama. Don't be so defensive.
    THANK YOU, LOSTDAWG!
