"OSAMA bin Laden is planning an attack against the United States that will "outdo by far" September 11, an Arab newspaper in London has reported.

- bin Laden 'planning US attack'
- Goal to 'outdo' September 11
- al-Qaeda reinforces training camps

And according to a former senior Yemeni al-Qaeda operative, the terrorist organisation has entered a "positive phase", reinforcing specific training camps around the world that will lead the next "wave of action" against the West.

The warning, on the front page of an Arabic newspaper published in London, Al-Quds Al-Arabi - and widely reported in the major Italian papers - quotes a person described as being "very close to al-Qaeda" in Yemen."

.
.

And notice the following individuals have also recently come forward to help push forward the propaganda wave.

    a yemeni you say? hmmmm......

to outdo 9/11 would take a security malfunction on such a grand scale that im confident this 'threat' will never actualise.

Security in the US has not changed enough since the 9-11 attacks. The people are attacking us won't be using the same methods they've used before.... ie we get attacked by planes, and in response we tighten airport security. We're behind the 8-ball and a step behind on these things. Hopefully nothing will occur, but that's not truly a reflection of our security or well-being, it just means it hasn't occured yet or is still being planned by the enemy. This is the sad reality of our post 9-11 security in practice.

  • A couple of wackjobs can do considerable damage if they want to. There is really no secruity measures that could stop it.
  • "Echoing Vice President-Elect Joe Biden's promise of a generated crisis and Colin Powell's revelation of a crisis that will happen on January 21 or 22, we now have the president of the Council on Foreign Relations and Biderberger Richard Haas' similar predictions of doom and gloom scheduled for President-Elect Obama. "

    Jan 21st or 22nd....hmm... I'm going with Jan 25th.

Look like January is the month, but they might hold out, and incorporate something into Easter with the lamb of god, blood, sacrifice, and all that shit.

May would be too stale...too late...not enough passion.

I cannot find one creditable source to back up what they are saying Premier Rudd Said. I'm looking for it so i can read the whole of what he said and to try and put it into some sort of context.

I know the Australian people are being advised not to travel to Bali at the moment as there are real fears of reprisals after the Bali Bombers were executed yesterday.

have to admit i was surprised at the ease with which i entered the US last february. sure they scanned my eyeball and took fingerprints but i was expecting way more security. but then again i dont fit the profile of a terrorist. or at least not the popular profile of one anyway. ;):)

I guess that means he's still alive. I honestly believed that his kidney problems had gotten the best of him some years back, and that his organization had been operating on its mission statement alone.

He's just one man who built up a huge reputation and used it as a base to push forth a much larger belief. When Bin Laden dies or something, they'll be another guy to step right into his place and they won't miss a beat.

you know i dont know about that. it takes a charismatic man to maintain what bin laden has. whether they have another waiting in the wings i dont know. but then again ive never understood how this man is still free to fire off these missives. :)

hey this just guarantees obama gets two terms. Worked for bush well enough, and were not a country of racists. so whoever happens to be chief WHEN the next greatest terrorist attack on US soil happens, its politically a 2 term lock with a side of scare tactic come re-election time

You are aware that distinct ideologies have developed on both sides right?

You rest it all on one man as some kind of proof to substantiate what exactly?

It's what you call witnessing the creation of another step forward in the "agenda".

If you're interested in reading some great books bout Bin Laden and Al Queda, check out Michael Scheuer. Although I don't agree with many of his views on how to deal with these issues, he does offer a great depth of knowledge and the group, their influence and workings.

  • Oh wait a sec...

"According to the report, bin Laden is himself closely following preparations for an attack against the US and aims to "change the face of world politics and economics". The operative is quoted as saying that "this will be shown by the fact that we now control a major part of the south of Somalia".

wow...cool even Bin Laden is talking change now.

Looks like it going to expand into Somalia. It's a superb choice, as it has fantastic water access to the entire Indian ocean should some military bases need to *cough* be set up there.
