Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

  • I heard he's on the ballot in one state, and that may cost McCain that state. I don't remember which state. Northwest, i believe, a heavily GOP state

Montana. He was polling around 4% there ... not sure if that will hold today, but, it's pushed Montana to toss up in many projections.

he's also on the ballot in Louisiana.

  • why is that? Did he want to be on the ballot in more states?

Paul wasn't behind it, his supporters were ... first in the google search, I found this.

  • interesting. if this race were closer, paul's supporters may have played the Nader spoiler role. (For the record, i believe Al Gore cost Al Gore the 2000 election, not Ralph Nader)

Louisiana I believe. Should be interesting to see how he does.

    Their ideology:

"Even if Paul can't win, the creation of the Louisiana Taxpayers Party will be a force to help shape future elections, he said.

"Right now it happens to be Ron Paul, but in the future it might be another candidate and we will have a structure in place," Sanders said. "This is not about party. This is about supporting the (U.S.) Constitution and the republic -- it's leave your party at the door."
