hehe...nice play on words even without the apostrophe S. I'll believe it when I see it, but this is somewhat interesting none the less.

"Rev. Jesse Jackson assured the first World Policy Forum, held in Evian, France last week, that an Obama presidency there would bring "fundamental changes" in US foreign policy - saying America must "heal wounds" he said it has caused to other nations.

The most important change, Jackson predicted, would occur in the Middle East, where "decades of putting Israel's interests first" would end. The Chicago preacher expects that, although "Zionists who have controlled American policy for decades" remain strong, they'll lose a great deal of their clout when Barack Obama enters the White House.
On Iran, Jackson strongly supports Obama's idea of opening a direct dialogue with the leadership in Tehran. "We've got to talk to tell them what we want and hear what they want," Jackson says. "Nothing is gained by not talking to others."

Jackson is especially critical of President Bush's approach to the Israel-Palestine conflict. "Bush was so afraid of a snafu and of upsetting Israel that he gave the whole thing a miss," Jackson says. "Barack will change that," because, as long as the Palestinians haven't seen justice, the Middle East will "remain a source of danger to us all."

"Barack is determined to repair our relations with the world of Islam and Muslims," Jackson says. "Thanks to his background and ecumenical approach, he knows how Muslims feel while remaining committed to his own faith.""
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

""Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr. is not an adviser to the Obama campaign and is therefore in no position to interpret or share Barack Obama's views on Israel and foreign policy," Obama national security spokeswoman Wendy Morigi said in a statement. "As he has made clear throughout his career and throughout this campaign, Barack Obama has a fundamental commitment to a strong U.S.-Israel relationship ... As president, he will ensure that Israel can defend itself from every threat it faces, stand with Israel in its quest for a secure peace with its neighbors, and use all elements of American power to end Iran's illicit nuclear program. "No false charges can change Barack Obama's unshakeable commitment to Israel's security."

Interesting. Looks like ol Jesse is pumping false hope to snag some curb appeal.

Or that Obama is not crazy and knows that if he holds that kind of talk his chances of being elected will drop massively. After the elections it's conceivable to think the US policy in the middle east will change, maybe not as drastically as some would like but actually be more firm with Israel. After all, that's what the "hope" part is for ;)

There definitely is that factor to consider. Hoping for hope...let's hope.

    Lets hope.

These are the fundamental changes we need. A completely different way of conducting foreign policy. Lets hope we see more "kucinich" in Barack than he has been exhibiting throughout this campaign.

Is he a 2 state proponent?
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
