Who has seen this? It's like a sneak peak into the future, and behind the scenes on the current path.

I'm curious how many people are willing to take time off work to protest before the point of no return arrives.

Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Isn't is about the events at the WTO riots? You are making it sound like it's futuristic.
hence the imdb link...

I'm going to watch it later, thanks for reminding me!
I saw Charlize Theron on Letterman, and she sounded like one of those crazed "conspiracy theorists"!
I mean, the NWO is GOOD right?
Who the hell would think it was some evil empire establishment meant to enslave 3rd world nations?
If I opened it now would you not understand?
I just saw it this aft. The live footage is particularly good. It does well to show how both sides of the coin play out....and probably will play out. Even better if people can add in real world facts and figures of what's happened policy wise upstairs since then.

"They" being the fringe elements that were ADMITTEDLY allowed to run amuck in a deliberate attempt to have free speech supressed by martial law?
Yeah.
The authorities were ordered to just stand there and let it happen.
Just wait for it to get out of control.
And then you have to wonder how much of that "anarchist" crowd was cointel infiltrated bullshit.

And Roland, Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember there being any evidence of police infiltration , or provocteurs, in the Seattle crowd.
They portrayed it in the movie, so I'm not sure what the details are, and what first hand accounts were in the making of it, but it's a pretty common tactic across the board.

You're missing the point...the police at first gave orders to arrest NO ONE, which ALLOWED that 1% to taint the protest...peaceful protesters were trying to stop the damage with no help from police.... Letting it happen, whether intentionally, or thru tragically incompetent planning (a perfect and forgiveable excuse these days, it seems), gave authorities a reason to declare a state of emergency and clear the place out completely.
Saying that 'they did the right thing' by intimidating, beating and gassing thousands, right after you admit that the crowd was 99% peaceful, is a pretty telling statement, imo...I don't get how property damage by a small handful can make people support the suppression of a VERY important, peaceful demonstration.
If the crowds really were 99% peaceful (I believe they were), it should have been less difficult to remove 1% than go to war with a larger percentage, no? But remove only the vandals, and they're still stuck with tens of thousands of people blocking their meetings...
And you're right Roland...one can only wonder how much worse a similar situation would be today....
