Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

we (the people) have a contract with the government, the constitution.
as long as it's still in place (however limited) it's still a valid, binding contract.
for example we have the right to protest. we just agree to keep it orderly etc.
and yes, like any any corrupt management system, they're pushing the limits.
now if Bush decided to entirely recend the constitution then we would have no contract.
and all bets will be off, they should be prepared for what we will do.
They are preparing for what people will do...

listen dude, I don't know what to do other than send repeated emails protesting the bailout (which I did) go to a protest (which I did) not pay my taxes, I guess. posting annonymously on a message board is my sideline. I don't know what you do other than post youtube clips here?what can we do? throw a molotov cocktail at something?
I understand. It's frustrating as hell isn't it? This system of fascist type control isn't new. Many blueprints throughout history to choose from. The only thing new is that it's been refined upon from these numerous examples. Back in the day they used to burn stuff, nowadays you'll disappear under the terrorist act as an enemy of state and go away somewhere. You have to beat them at their own game....namely put pressure on the legal system to have them arrested and investigated under oath at a trial. This is they only way I can see aside from street level carnage which will delve the US into a dark place where military personnel will patrol the streets with vehicles regularly. Every other democratic society this happened to never thought it could happen to them in a million years, but it did as their resistance to "the program" increased
Once the power shifts too far in one direction, it's get's harder and harder to shift the balance back. Bush isn't screwing around...he's playing hardball, and redacting and touching all the right laws to get an extremely tight grip on dissension and any potentially aggressive forms of opposition.
The only way through is to get these guys on the hook in a legal forum, Kucinich has been trying for a while now. In Thailand they just recently surrounded their parliament building until the PM eventually had to come out. He had to climb a fence into a waiting helicopter to save his own life. A tad extreme, but this is the tenacity and dedication required but from a legal perspective using the system. Millions of people need to move on an action from across the country at the same time is how I see it.
