Looks like were hunting Osama again after a few years long vacation of not caring about where he is....

Anyone else seeing the neo-cons trying to play out the PNAC agenda as quickly as possible prior to the 08 election?

Pakistan....Russia....Iraq.......Iran....Afghanistan???

Who's next? This is a powder keg waiting to blow, and they're throwing matches around like a bunch of underage school boys.

" ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - A deadly American-led raid on a Pakistani village embarrassed the government and eroded support for the pro-U.S. presidential front-runner Thursday just two days before the election.

Furor continued to mount over the first known foreign ground assault inside Pakistan against a suspected Taliban haven. The government summoned the U.S. ambassador for an official protest, while Parliament passed resolutions of condemnation.

In news likely to stoke more anger, intelligence officials said a missile strike was suspected in a blast Thursday that killed at least four people in North Waziristan, part of the tribal belt where Osama bin Laden and his deputy are thought to be hiding. Previous such strikes have been blamed on the U.S."
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

I believe you are right. The deadline is coming up fast... snagging Bin Laden would be a trophy... albeit, an obviously political trophy.

Unfortunately i don't think this has much to do with "finding" Bin Laden.

This is likely more about stirring up regional strife, and creating a powder keg environment in already unstable regions.

Between this and the russia-georgia thing, it seems someone is hell bent on starting a serious shit storm. That's all that i can fathom. There is zero political leverage or benefit to be had from these actions. Provoking Russia and stirring the pot in Pakistan? It makes no strategic sense, unless you are trying to provoke further violence.

With the stock market still teetering on the absolute precipice of another buyers strike \ collapse \ deleveraging ... i think those at the top of the pyramid are restless to cause some sort of deflection of the public consciousness.

Thinks are looking bleaker by the day.

No. I seriously believe it is only to find Bin Laden and parade him around before the November Election.
Remember who we are dealing with, here. Bush, Cheney, Rove, Rice...

  • The country with the biggest military stands the most to gain from global conflict.

All this in the name of hunting down terrorists..and in this case one terrorist? I'm not buying it, seeing as they have already written up a military playbook that is fast becoming reality as the weeks go by.

Spin up the wheels of war, sit back, and watch it all go...

Perpetual war economy...it's definitely one way to gain wealth. Humanity pays the price.

  • I still think Bin Laden will be "captured/killed" right before the election. They've had him for a while now, and are just waiting for the election edge.

I thought the same thing in 2004.....and in 2006....but like poor old Bullwinkle, they keep pulling something out of the wrong hat.

Yes, I sit eagerly at the airport fence line waiting on more dead Americans from overseas.

They've always known where OBL has been hiding. He's just being used to continue stirring up fear and that we can keep you safe mantra. As a last ditch effort before the election OBL maybe used to say "here he is no one else can keep you safe like us the Republicans".
